Has 0 effect on digital audio data. The data is transferred and the audio work or it doesn't there's no in between, there is no better or worse quality. The only two options are it works or it doesn't.
Extra shielding or insulation will hell stop loss of data from interference but 99.9999999% of use cases people do not have data loss due to interference.

While there may be some lab-measurable effect, in the real world they are pretty much snake oil as far as I know. For HDMI all that should matter is getting a "Premium Certified" one. Other than that it's looks and name.

no youll still get the audio via hdmi to the receiver with the splitter.
another reason i suggested that splitter. it will work with both because it supports all of it

    ah ok your not understanding
your 1080p receiver will still except the audio from the splitter. it just wont output video
and your firestick will detect the splitter as the device so it will still send out the 4k signal and surround. that splitter has its own edid and everything. so even thou one device (receiver) doesnt support hdcp 2.2 the firestick wont see it

i do understand the risk thou...but it should work. (sucks your not allowed returns) but up to you in the end. 😀

Oh ffs. I would actually return them. All razer's products are absolute garbage compared to anything imho. But hey. Christmas is all about having fun. So it wouldn't be nice to return a gift like that. But. Yeah your SHP9500 are gonna beat any razer headphone, even in the 200 dollar range.

I'd argue you're not making money on the TV, it's just an amenity. Same probably applies to having the radio on in a store, for example.

    your saying 2 things here
Dolby Vision is the name for a high dynamic range (HDR) 4K video format...which your tv or monitor need to support to use it, otherwise its normal HDR
Dolby atmos for sound you can do the fake simulated headphone way like others have said
or you go with a receiver that supports it and speaker set up
dolby atmos is really min 5.1.2 ...left, right, center, left rear, right rear....sub.... left ceiling, right ceiling,

couple things you need to know on the nano
it is not for a bright sun lit room or a pitch dark room (its ips not the best blacks)
immediately after unboxing (save the box) test dark scenes..if theres a lot of blooming. like noticeable blooming, exchange it you have a bad panel.

i have the nano90 better then the nano85 but both ive found suffer the same. other then that if you get a good panel its fing gorgeous

circeseye reacted to WereCatf in Android TV? your experience
All the things you mentioned are simply because it was cheap. NVIDIA's Shield TV also runs Android TV as its OS and doesn't suffer from any of those issues, except for slow boot from full shutdown.

PS. I do have a Philips Android TV, but it's also slow and kinda laggy and all, so I use Shield TV instead for all my media-consumption. The TV itself only acts as a big display for the Shield TV, nothing more.

circeseye reacted to Glenwing in Optical HDMI 2.1 Cables
Making long cables that can pass this amount of data is very difficult so it doesn't really surprise me if no products at that length have been able to pass certification so far. And if they failed the certification and decide to market it as an "HDMI 2.1 cable" anyway, that also wouldn't surprise me. Regardless, of course there is nothing magical about the certification that makes it impossible to pass the 48 Gbit/s data without having the label, so there may be uncertified cables that will work. There's just no guarantee, that's all. Manufacturers are fairly well known to "exaggerate" the capabilities of their cables, so without proper certification it's a gamble. Might work, might not.
Not that I know of. It's something I wish they would add.
Most likely yes for that length. But the inner workings of the cable are irrelevant to the certification, it's just an analysis of the input vs the output signal and whether it passes certain parameters. The internal workings of how the cable is constructed doesn't matter, so the certification applies just as much to optical cables as to copper cables.
