  1. did this already- one end of the phanteks fan controller goes to the psu with sata connection the other goes to a 4 pin fan header on the motherboard. and the 3 4 pin fans i have are all plugged into this unit.
  2. Hi all just finished my first sff build got a gigabyte B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI mini itx motherboard. and using 3x corsair fans, 2 for intake 1 for exhaust. I knew i didn't have fan headers so went and got a Phanteks Universal Fan Controller, PH-PWHUB_02 low profile. Put all 3 fans into that and then put it into the fan header on the motherboard. However I cant seem to control the speed of the fans. they are all very loud and running fast. I've loaded the SIV and easytune software but that doesn't seem to know what RPM they are running at. I don't want to use the included re
  3. Morning all hopefully someone will know the answer to this- Received a new computer from Chillblast- https://www.chillblast.com/chillblast-fusion-ryzen-3700x-custom-video-photo-editing-pc.html?category_id=415#product-details-tab-tab1136 happy with everything other than the noise- the CPU cooler seems to be whirring- like its having to speed up every couple of mins- then slowing down again. and repeating over again and again. similar sound to when you first boot. so i downloaded system information viewer- and used it to set fans to 'quiet' (see attached
  4. Got to decide between 2 motherboards and just cant decide. Without detailing the build which one do you guys prefer and why? GIGABYTE B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI https://www.gigabyte.com/uk/Motherboard/B450-I-AORUS-PRO-WIFI-rev-10#kf or ASUS ROG STRIX B450-I GAMING https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B450-I-GAMING/
  5. looking for a last recommendation for motherboard. cpu is a ryzen 3400g and only going to use onboard graphics. which of these 3 motherboards would you choose and why? Asus - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/kbx2FT/asus-rog-strix-b450-i-gaming-mini-itx-am4-motherboard-strix-b450-i Asrock - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/N4jJ7P/asrock-b450-gaming-itxac-mini-itx-am4-motherboard-b450-gaming-itxac MSI -https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/gBWfrH/msi-b450i-gaming-plus-ac-mini-itx-am4-motherboard-b450i-gaming-plus-ac
  6. i was hoping for a comment that would clear up the issue of who does the best onboard. however why should i go msi??
  7. Hi all been a long time since ive build anything so need advice on motherboard/cpu combination. The PC will mostly be used for internet, office, video, downloading, a little Photoshop/illustrator. only gaming done is football manager and cities skyline- non-graphical games The PC is on all day every day but wont be overclocked/stretched. Most of the build is done. i wanted high quality, trusted components but now i need to think about the best motherboard cpu combo that will do everything i need. My thoughts were i5 with a asrock itx motherboard, but now amd

  9. 2 issues with this case 1- half the case is designed to take a graphics card i wont be putting in there. 2- the price.
  10. sorry all, but i dont like either of those options not keen on the flex psu- would much prefer the sfx unit from corsair- nuc is way too small for me- its generally not powerful enought. and the 2 cases are not very nice. i dislike cube cases but of the fact they stack components rather ,badly on top of each other- used to have a shuttle pc years ago and that just overheated.
  11. bit of everything- it stays on all day every day. but dont want big box. no gaming at all mostly office, internet, little bit of adobe, music etc
  12. Hi all I'm looking for a case, as close to what you see in this pic. The pic shows a poorly photo-shopped Modivio case- http://modivio.com/ I need something that will hold a itx motherboard, proper sfx psu - e.g. corsair sfx450 and room for cable management. More importantly is is able to fit enough fans to keep cool- but also it doesn't have a space for a graphics card. I don't want the annoyance of having wasted space where the graphics card would go. Any thoughts from anyone welcome.
  13. Hi all stuck on my build- the metallic gear mini case is able to fit a full size psu but im worried that it may be a bit too big and i should go for a smaller version instead. My options are a Corsair RMX 550 or a Corsair SF450. The RMX550 is gold rated and the new Corsair SF450 is platinum. I really want to take advantage of the 0 rpm mode and keep everything cool and quiet and there will be no gaming on this pc, so it will rarely be under load. Any thoughts on which PSU to fit into this case and why? any advice welcome. THanks
  14. HI all just the start of the project- this will take me a while. but got the case today, its available in the uk- and am very happy with it.Happy to answer any questions about it. installed 2x 140mm fans in the front and moved the 120mm provided fan to the rear.added a Samsung ssd. will be adding asus motherboard, i5 and corsair psu shortly. Maybe not quite sff but it suits mepics so far
