I'm not seeing the part where they ban people/companies from YouTube for filing false claims. ?

I'm a Last Pass user, not worried at all about this. If someone is managing to pull data from my computer's RAM, I got bigger problems to deal with then that they might get my Last Pass master password!

    I rate this a 0.5/10 security threat.

Can I ask why the dual 2080 instead of a 2080ti? Do you have a game or application in mind that scales well? I am curious about the state of SLI.

Then the S8 is by far the better option. Should be getting OneUI with Android 9 soon. Which I quite like on my S9+.

Field Trips to the Apple store, what is this a remedial class destined to end up Apple Geniuses! When I was a kid we went to the Zoo, the aquarium, a local theater.... I'm starting to think I was a child at the perfect time before everything went crazy.

Chett_Manly got a reaction from KeyzHostHD in Companies pull ads from YouTube upon discovery of pedophile ring
I'm trying to think of what is actually going to prevent this, and what I have settled on is that YouTube should not monetize child content unless specifically requested by the parent, with proof of guardianship, and only on that channel.

Then on top of that comments will be disabled by default, and if enabled the Parent/Channel Owner bares responsibility for the content there in, but will have automated tools to help enforce standards.

Then only channels approved by a parent can have child content on it, and the only channels with a comments section will be ones where the parent opts in, and takes responsibility.

If a channel with no monetized content attempts to turn on the comments section, they will have to provide proof of ownership of the video, and take responsibility for the content posted.

Failure to moderate the comments will result in them being closed down permanently on that account, and it being demonetized.

I think that would do it, and satisfy ad buyers.

Chett_Manly got a reaction from fgjhfjhfhjfjhfhjfhgfjhfh in What's your opinions about APPLE as of now?
I think their standards have slipped, and they no longer innovate.

The MacBook Pro is the perfect example of this.

I have never been a Mac guy, but I have long recognized how good the MacBooks were. 5 years ago I'd have argued the only problem with a MacBook Pro was the price. Except for the last 3 years now, it's been more than that.  Bad Keyboard. Pointless touchbar. Thermal issues. Reliability issues. Limited IO that requires dongles or a hub. Half of the devs in my office who have Macs, still have a 2015 unit, and are trying not to upgrade. The ones that have the newer ones, aren't too happy with it.

So Apple has slipped in my opinion. They now rank alongside Dell and HP in their quality and the issues their products have. You take an XPS 13 put it up against a MBP 13 inch, and I see one with a better screen aspect ratio and bigger track pad, and I see one with a better keyboard, and a touch screen instead of a touch bar. The Apple product is not clearly better, though they still charge like it is.

On the iOS side its not really better. Their big idea of the last 5 years was what, The Notch? 3D Touch? Making the bezels smaller on the iPad Pro? I am not seeing any real innovation here.

Yes, because it making adapters for "pre-unifying" shit and overhauling all the outlets everywhere isn't a pain in the ass at all.

Chett_Manly got a reaction from toastythomas in Bose BT Headphones for PC Gaming?
Latency with BT headphones is really hit and miss. Sometimes my QC35 are fine, and sometimes delayed on my PC, where I installed a wifi/bt pci-express card. So I don't use them for gaming.

It would probably be better if the headphones had aptX, but I don't think any of the Bose do.
