  1. Lool, thank you! I will try, but idk if ill ever stop worrying. Im sure once Civ 6 finishes downloading, ill forget all about it!
  2. Understood, thank you, that puts my mind a little more at ease. Ill save up for a better cooler within the year, so hopefully ill get better thermals at that time!
  3. Hello, I recently completed my first ever build. It runs well, and I've played around with my fan curves a bit, mainly trying to learn what works and what doesn't. In my research, I came across a program called HWINFO, And i am using it to monitor my thermals. My issue is, I'm worried my thermals are high, even for a Ryzen CPU. I have attached them as an image. I'm going between 40ish to 60 degrees, with averages in the 50s. I'm using the stock wraith stealth cooler, so I wasn't expecting amazing temps, but the 60s are worrying me a bit. Is there anything I can do to try and reign
  4. That makes sense. Hopefully I can get it how I like it without too many reboots! I don't need a perfectly silent pc, but I also don't like it revving up and down every time I open a program, lool
  5. Thank you for this, I will test this out to see how it performs in my case. I had not considered a z pattern!
  6. I hope this is the correct place to be making this post. I have recently completed my first PC build. I am extremely pleased with it, but now it is time for tweaking and adjusting it so I get the best performance I can. I am running a Ryzen 5 3600x with stock cooler, and an msi RTX 3070 Ventus 3x oc. The case I am using is a fractal Meshify C. I have 1 140mm fan and 2 stock 120mm. Im using the 140mm and one 120 mm as intake in the front, and the last 120mm as exhaust. Right now, I get random revs of the fans, in doing different tasks, especially the CPU fan, so I would like to set up a custom
  7. Ill look into those cases, and I will be sure to keep it under 10K; I was looking at 7200 RPM. Thank you for your advice!

  9. Hello! I am actually all set on my build, but I wanted some advice on 2 fronts, and this seemed like the place to go. First, I am considering getting an HDD rather than an SSD to shave some money off my build, and get a bit more storage. I already own a 1tb ssd, so I should be alright on speed, but I am worried about noise. I am not particularly sensitive when it comes to noise, but the way some people describe it kinda worries me. I have a mini fridge in my room that regularly generates a fair bit of noise, would the pc be adding to it, or be drowned out by it?
  10. Yes, and I very much appreciate it. You have been very helpful!
  11. Hello, that video was quite informative (I skipped to the results and conclusion). I will be sticking with the 3600xt, because newegg is pricing it at the same price as the base 3600, and it will save me needing to OC down the line.
  12. Yes sir and thank you for the build, ill be looking through it to see what I might use
  13. That makes sense, I am willing to wait longer for a cheaper GPU. The price im using is the memory express after tax price for a backorder
  14. Budget (including currency): ~ $1500 USD ($2000 CAD) Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I play competitive games like CSGO and Valorant, but I also enjoy my fair share of single player "sightseeing" games Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm planning on buying everything this week and next week (watching for deals)
  15. @ZM Fong @Jurrunio @OrbitalBuzzsaw Thank you all for your help, and if any other ideas come up, please feel free to post i'm still deciding.
