I've only owned these headphones for less than 36 hours and I'm pretty sure I already have at least 12 hours of mileage on these cans, I just can't stop listening to music using these. They're so enjoyable.

Next step is definitely to invest in a proper DAC/amp setup so I can get the most out of it, as currently I am relegated to using my Sound Blaster Audigy Fx soundcard, which while it does the job better than on-board motherboard audio, definitely could be better. Looking forward to getting these to as best a sound quality as they can perceivably get.

NVIDIA just completely destroyed the used 2080Ti market. In germany most ebay listings went to 400-600€. Most of them were at >1000€ a few days ago. Love it  Of course i feel bad for anyone who wanted to sell a 2080Ti anywhere close to the brand new price. The 3070 really did a number on these poor GPUs... I guess the prices will only come down until the launch of the 3070.

And as a reaction to the RTX 30 series, the cuda core counts are questionable. AIBs have reported 2x lower Cuda Cores in their presentations. Nvidia probably made a last minute marketing change.

Moore's Law Is Dead is saying 3090 launch availability is 1/4 of what 2080Ti launch availability was. 3090 is much more of a paper launch than anything else.

I'm expecting 3060 to be announced in October for $379.
I'm expecting 3050 to be announced in November for $249.

If Nvidia launched a RT 3030 or a GT 3030 however they'd want to call it, it'd be released Q2 2021 for $149 or $169 depending on how AMD competes.

If you're not interested in a 3090 then I'd say hold off until AMD launches RDNA2. RDNA2 will be more much power efficient than Nvidia, yes I know sounds quite unbelievable but that's the magic of TSMC.

RDNA2 will have ray tracing, 10% higher IPC, and much higher clocks. We know that RDNA2 is easily capable of clocking above 2.2GHz.

    I would not be surprised to see a 2.4GHz 5120 Stream Processor RX 6900 with 24GB HBM2.

Here's my predictions for the RDNA2 series launch:
    RX 6900XT with 5120 SPs and 24GB HBM2 at $799.
    RX 6900 with 4608 SPs and 20GB HBM2 at $699

    RX 6800XT with 3840 SPs and 16GB GDDR6 at $549
    RX 6800 with 3584 SPs and 16GB GDDR6 at $499

    RX 6700XT with 2816 SPs and 16GB GDDR6 at $399
    RX 6700 with 2560 SPs and 16GB GDDR6 at $349

    RX 6600XT with 2560 SPs and 8GB GDDR6 at $299
    RX 6600 with 2304 SPs and 8GB GDDR6 at $249

    RX 6500XT with 2048 SPs and 6GB GDDR6 at $169
    RX 6500 with 1792 SPs and 6GB GDDR6 at $139

    RX 6300 with 1280 SPs and 4GB GDDR6 at $99

The only thing that lets it down slightly is the night photos on the stock camera app, this is somewhat solved by using Gcam sideloaded onto it.... the reason I say slightly is that not all the cameras are supported on the Gcam app, so ATM I am using the stock app in the daytime, and if I need any low light shots I switch to the Gcam app.
Battery life and 30W charging is great, the battery is lasting me more than 24 hours on around 60-70% of the battery, and that's with approx screen on time of 8-10 hours... and with always on display turned on, so I don't have to wake the phone to see the time/date/battery %. This morning I woke up and had forgotten to charge the battery, and it was still on 28%, after 10 mins or so it had gone to above 50% while I was showering. After that I left it for approx 30 mins and came back to it showing 94%.
The default battery saving, ie the non-battery saving mode, but still optimizes apps if left open etc, is fantastic... it hasn't closed any of the apps I have been using in the background and switching between, so nice and fast switching etc. Then when it's been closed has seemed to know which apps I would still want running in the background... and others have been closed.

ATM I am blown away by the performance, build quality, and the ease of use. My old poco F1 scored approx 280,000 in Antutu IIRC, the new one scores 567,000

The Stock launcher is plenty good enough I have found, I am using a LIVE wallpaper too, and as previously mentioned an always-on display function. The below-screen fingerprint reader is pretty accurate, it's only messed up a few times, but that was fixed by me re-scanning the print... it was my off-hand thumb-print that I don't use often to unlock anyway. The main print I use, and all the other prints I scanned have worked each and every time.

The UI has had several very good things added over the poco f1 that I can see, but before coming to this phone I was actually using Nova launcher, so can't say for sure it hasn't been updated there too. One of which is the separation of the notifications and the quick functions (you have a choice though), so swiping down from the upper left corner takes you to notifications, and the opposite corner to the quick functions like Bluetooth/Wi-Fi etc... this to me at least has made things much more useful for my day to day usage.

TLDR - My poco F1 was good, but the F2 pro steps it up dozens of notches... I wouldn't have thought it possible TBH as the F1 was great build quality, SD 845 etc etc, but the F2 pro's SD865 is noticeably faster, the cameras are great, especially the 8K video recording, but also the 64Mp main camera, the macro, and the 20Mp front facing pop-up.

Physician, heal thyself (this is a long-winded story which has little point)

I *despise* Windows 10. Flatly refuse to run it. As Windows 7 was going EOL, I went searching for alternatives, and stumbled across "Windows 9". Intrigued, I downloaded it and put it on a spare system to test out. Didn't take long to fall in love with it. Everything positive about Windows 7 (stability, familiarity of GUI) and Win 10 (updated drivers) and none of the drawbacks (EOL on it is 2024, no live tiles, no rearranged GUI, no forced spyware, no cortana, patches are only security updates)

So a quick shift over to it on my main system. Does everything I want it to, and have yet to encounter any issues.
But the writing is on the wall for me and my relationship with Windows, and it's only a matter of time before I'm done with it, so I still need to look around for an alternative.

Enter Linux. Now I've been experimenting with *nix since the early days when you could buy boxed copies of SuSE Linux, complete with real manuals. But it never really was anything more (to me) than an interesting experiment. But *nix has come a long way, and I really enjoyed Ubuntu. Specifically 14.04LTS, before the advent of systemD. Well, like all things, EOL'd and systemD has spread like an unstoppable plague to all the major distros.

I fought against it, oh how I fought, but ultimately an OS is nothing without applications, and when the programs demand certain things that just aren't in your OS...well, upgrade of go extinct. What really irritates me about Ubuntu (for this is the distro I have chosen to become most familiar with and the UI I like the best)  is, on any given hardware, I can see the performance of my spare system plummet as the version numbers increased.

14.04 was lightning quick, 16.04 was still pretty good, but I could tell the drop, 18.04 and 20.04 was just hot garbage. So, off in search of an alt DE base on Ubuntu.

And boy howdy, there are tons out there.and I swear I've tried them all. And each one seems to have some showstopper attached to my needs that prevents it from being a viable option.

Enter Voyager Linux. Everything I want, nothing I don't. Proper nVidia drivers, Steam works, no tinkering needed, GUI laid out just the way I wanted it to be, everything just works.
Mostly. Keeps corrupting itself on reboots, bad SSD? Maybe. Buy new one. All is well, gameplay corrupts itself. Crap. Proton issue? Unsure. Wireless drops off. Replace card (on order, not arrived yet)
    Buy another mSATA SSD.
    Reinstall.
    Works great. Problem solved.

    Until it doesn't.

Go to re-install for the nth time, system locks up solid.

    ...waitaminute.
    Run Memtest.

    Bad RAM.
Slaps forehead. Should have seen this weeks ago. I always tell other folk here, test your RAM test your RAM, when they post with boot or OS issues. I forget to follow my own advice.

    Physician, heal thyself.
(Hopefully this will be an end to my OS woes)
