  1. I just put in a second 3.0x4 nvme into my rig and it is running in 3.0x2 mode. I was wondering how I can change my gpu to 8x to get the full speeds of both drives, or if i can disable something and keep my gpu on 16x. mobo: x470-f strix cpu: 5600x gpu: 3070ti wifi card: archer tx50 ssds: 970evo+ and sn 750 current config: order from top to bottom 970 evo (4x slot) 3070ti (16x slot) archer tx50(1x) sn-750 (4x slot) note: im not currently using the wifi card and it could be disabled, but im not sure where i can disa
  2. Does anyone know if the 3070ti has memory chips on both sides of the pcb like a 3083/90? mostly asking as mining puts a lot of stress on the memory chips and want to make sure they are getting cooling they need
  3. I was wanting to buy a 3700x but didn't want to pay too much for the motherboard and was looking at the asus Crosshair VII X370, with bios flashback and was wondering if that would be a good idea with a mild to low overclock. the other motherboard i would be looking at is a ROG STRIX B450-f but it doesnt have wifi for another 30 bucks PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor $299.63 @ Walmart CPU Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black E

  5. well, I unplugged it and it (monitor) and it worked again
  6. I got home today, and turned on my computer. I have two monitors, and the main one (Acer xg270hu) has gsync enabled on it. The second monitor turned on just fine, but he first one had no image (orange light). I just figured something with the display cable has gone bad, so i switched it with a brand new one. No Dice I then uninstalled and reinstalled graphics drivers from Nvidia (and updated windows). No dice. I then whipped out my Displayport-to-hdmi adapter and none of the Dp ports worked. I tried using the VGA, and it worked too. I have no idea what to do, and the monitor is a

  8. Looks and cooler wise I would choose between the STRIX cards and the founders edition all the others didnt seem sexy to me
  9. in the LTT review video, he says nvidia keeps the better GPU dies for themselves ( i think)
  10. I am going to build a college build (below) and was wondering what the best version of the RTX 2080 there was for the dollar. I like the look of the STRIX cards, but I know that the founders edition overclocks better, and I also like the looks. I don;s mind spending some extra money for a good (looking and quality) card, but was wondering your guys's opinions. thanks ) (going ti take the ssd's out if my current rig and put it in the new one in case you were concerned) PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU
  11. I currently have a prebuild(7700, and 1070, 16gb RAM, SSD) and am going to buy an ACER XG270HU(144hz, 1440p) and am going to build a new gaming pc. I am deciding between an RTX 2070/2080 for driving the monitor. I mainly play Rainbow Six Seige and rise of the tomb raider and some VR. The only settings I can tell a difference with is the texture quality(no AA, or anything like that) any recommendations? I have the money for the 2080 but am worried about spending an extra $200 for settings I cannot even notice. thx future build: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
