    That's bad.
    Let's hope that the industry won't follow and china/Russia find a fix or right to repair legislation worth it's name passes soon.
    Also on the one hand environmental ideologies gain influence and apple tries to position them as green. Simultaneously they crack down on any repeatability shortening device lifespan: This has nothing todo with security at all (there are ways to ensure genuine parts while allowing repairs). It just sound great when asked about it.
     Things I have done to phones:
    - thermal paste -> outdated; manufactures figured this out
    - charging port -> soldered on but still possible -> less important due to wireless charging
    - headphone jack -> eliminated

    - battery -> not possible anymore
    - camera -> not possible anymore (those things can get damaged from drops before the screen breaks ...)
    - buttons -> if fingerprint sensor embedded then not possible anymore
    - screen -> (creaked 1 OLED without breaking the glass) not possible anymore

    AMD stream over, hot take time

    Nvidia accidentally left a weak point open in Ampere. Apparently their performance scaling was impressive at super high resolutions (4k, 8k) but they left room at 1440p and 1080p due to it being a lower priority, apparently. HWunboxed did an investigation but I can't find the video at the moment.

    AMD just showcased all their performance data at 1440p, beating the 3080 with the 6800 XT and the 2080 ti (by extension the 3070) with the 6800. When benchmarks come out and we see if reviewers corroborate this data, AMD will become the de facto best choice for gaming. Not gonna even get into that memory access thingy that they talked about, we will see if it helps any.

    What will Nvidia preference buyers have left to cling to? nvenc? we didn't get any info on encoding from red team so maybe, maybe not. efficiency? not anymore, with the massive improvements from Navi 21 we are looking at better power consumption from AMD this generation. better drivers? This is the second navi, not the first. It would be rather puzzling if the driver situation will be nearly as bad as the first, given the fixes they've already implemented.

    we will see if a Super refresh is in the works like last time but this early after the release, I highly doubt it. AMD might have just stolen this generation.
