  1. Interesting. The last image makes me think of a Commodore 64 merged with an Atari 2600. Although the Commodore rainbow color order is different.
  2. Depending on where you live, and due to the US-China trade war, there's going to be a 25% tax added to any electronic parts made in China. So that means any hardware that's built in either the US or China using Chinese manufactured components is going to be more expensive. This tax goes into effect on Aug 23rd. So if you can buy now.... you may want to buy now.
  3. Looking forward to seeing where this goes. I'm desperate to put a console-like PC in my living room, so this is PC porn for me.
  4. Looks nice, no ketchup and mustard cables. The fan is supposed to be on the other side of the cooler though isn't it? pushing air through the cooler instead of pulling. Did the cooler fan not clear the memory modules?
  5. I suspect they've run the tests multiple times and the printed numbers are just rounded. The bar lengths are accurate but the numbers aren't. If they're going to do that, maybe the charts should be clear that the benchmarks are averaging 2 or 3 (or more) test runs.
  6. Lol. It doesn't "look" safe, but there was a time when wood encased radios and TV's were not only normal they were desirable. This sexy beast below probably cost an arm and a leg in its day.
  7. By comparison my full-size 1070 is idling at 45°C. 50° does't seem bad at all for the mini variant. Is it in an sff case of some sort? That can also affect temps.
  8. and skill with cad software that I wish I had a fraction of
  9. I had both a BlackWidow and DeathAdder as well. Several years ago, and both failed for me within the first 18 months. The rubber separated from the mouse wheel and the paint came off the tops of several keys. It was the first time I'd spent some serious money on a keyboard and mouse and with 100% of the products breaking down so quickly compared to competitors offerings I've been hesitant to ever try Razor hardware again.
  10. The flames on the side bring back nightmares of my computer salesman days. lol. Have a look at this unsightly thing.
  11. Jayztwocents and Bitwit are my two favorites. Followed by HardwareCanucks. Pauls Hardware isn't bad. LinusTechTips isn't bad either. It would be higher, but I find a lot of the videos either don't interest me or are just plain stupid. I also like watching Singularity Computers and Dietec for modding, but neither one is really a tech-tuber so to speak.
  12. WIthout seeing a pic of the S/N sticker, it sounds like a way for the manufacturer to ensure the buyer can't peel them off and place them on something else.. Edit: whoops, didn't see the answer above.
  13. I used to work at Future Shop, and Computer City. Both are gone, but it's not my fault lol. We had intel reps show up and they would put intel stickers and badges on various shelves and would chat with the staff. They were never pushy with their talking points. We were never told what to say to customers. System manufacturers on the other hand were a completely different story. They were sometimes pushy and sometimes committed to blowing smoke up your butt. I remember when we were selling Compaq Presario 4764's and the Compaq rep starts his speech with "Did you know Compaq stands f
  14. Pharaoh & Cleopatra (yep, I'm old lol) Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom Stellaris Frostpunk (maybe. There aren't enough scenarios yet but I truly love the game)
