  2. I'm looking at buying a laptop, probably in the $2500 CAD range. I dont game really at all, aside from Roll20 and thats not a very big resource hog, lol. I have a full blown desktop setup, but as things open up and my life has changed I'd like to get something portable to do my work from. My main work is writing shaders for the Universal Render Pipeline, basically mid.to low end graphics so i dont need anything intensive like a 30 series i dont think, but I do believe I need a dGPU. I do some modelling work with Blender and texture creation with Substance Designer, but

  4. I currently have a Corsair CX500 in my case (Its an older cooler master). A) Is the PSU I have good enough? Is it worth it to change? B) Is there a way to check compatibility with my case and that particular motherboard? Thanks for this help though, I dig it!

  6. Hey folks, Looking to upgrade my PC so I can get some more -oomph- out of my software. I use Blender for modelling, Substance Designer and Substance Painter for texturing. I use 2 Monitors, but they are nothing special at all. HDMi input, but 1080p at best. This is simply a hardware upgrade, my peripherals are alright for now. Current specs as follows: Zotac GEFORCE GTX 660 AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Processor - 3.20 GHz 8GB (DDR3 I wanna say) RAM My main bottleneck I really have is my the 2GB of RAM on the card, so Substance Painter has some troubl
