Computernaut reacted to SpaceGhostC2C in What's so great about mechanical keyboards?
    Yes. It wasn't mechanical.

I haven't met one. In fact, I thought they went extinct together with typewriters, but maybe there are still some out there.

Not every of those: see for example the post by @SpaceGhostC2C.

I don't consider "wouldn't touch one with a ten-foot pole" to be "light". In fact, I'd say I put it very strongly.

You've been generous enough to kindly offer free advice, so I'll reciprocate and give you a suggestion myself: if you prefer to avoid coming off as a condescending, pedantic snob, try considering your opinions and tastes as such and equivalent to other people's opinions and tastes, rather than instantly assuming some form of superior knowledge or experience that somehow turns your subjective opinion into an objectively more accurate fact, endorsed by unnamed, un-cited "experts" (that are supposed to be experts on what my typing experience on different keyboards is as well).

Computernaut reacted to kxrider85 in Video Suggestion: Watercool EVERYTHING
Inspired by your latest video on overclocking everything, I thought it would be a cool idea to make a video where you water-cooled everything. For a long time now, the PC community has been stuck in the rut of making the same-old standard water-cooled cpu/gpu with the same PETG/acrylic hardline. I would love to see a video where you attempted to water cool EVERYTHING humanly possible including but not limited to: cpu, gpu, ram, psu, chipset, vrms, case, hdd, ssd; and maybe peripherals like the monitor all in a closed loop system.

Just to address some objections I saw in the youtube comments:
Like the "overclock everything" video released today, the point of this is NOT PRACTICABILITY. The LTT channel did not get big off of doing "practical" things with computers. This video would be produced for the mere entertainment and curiosity factor. Yes, I know LTT made a mineral oil cooled PC. Even though the results may be similar, the process of creating a closed loop water cooling system is completely different from oil cooling. Its like comparing apples to oranges... "This would be a pain to build. Not worth the time." This is why Linus has hired several grunts to do his dirty work. (Jake, Alex and Anthony are a few that come to mind...)
Note: this could make a great build for the new Corsair Obsidian 1000D. I don't think Corsair would have any problem sponsoring a video like this

Computernaut reacted to r2724r16 in Will the CPU die too if the intergratedGPU (Intel HD) dies?
Since you can still use a PC with your iGPU disabled (if you have a dedicated GPU), I don't think the CPU will die if the iGPU dies.

Computernaut reacted to Jasoncav in Series Idea: Mods
I think a series on modding/diy specifically for pc related hardware and software would be a really cool idea, especially if the videos were hosted by the people who were passionate about the subject.

Having a video on how to reduce mouse weight by skeletonizing and using a paracord braided usb cable hosted by Ed, who could chat with the viewers not just about how to do it, but why its a really good idea for a cs:go player to have a mouse that is light.

I'd love to see Luke or Anthony do a full keeb.io iris keyboard build as a follow up to the custom mech keyboard video you guys did.

I'd also love to see Linus do a few case mod videos like how to add tempered glass windows instead of plexiglas, or how to vertically mount a graphics card in an unsupported case.

I think having a formal series for these could be really successful, as many people who consume your content see the kinds of mods you do for things, but you never go in detail about how to get started with doing some of those things yourself.

Far to expensive. I don't see how they would sell a lot of these. Very cool product though. There are way better bang for buck laptops out there.

WWAN stands for Wireless Wide Area Network. I assume a WWAN/WLAN SSD is a miniPCIe SSD that fits in an miniPCIe slot, where a WLAN NIC may go.

So, you're basically looking for a miniPCIe SSD (if my assumption is correct)
