Oh boy. Here we go again. I remember something like this being a thing in the past but it petered out. Also, personally, I don't really care for the idea of cryptocurrency. It just seems like nonsense. Now, we have this. Kinda interesting but also a bit annoying as a consumer and a business partner (computer repair business). 😧

This is pretty bad. Almost feels as bad as SolarWinds. The fact this bug allows bypassing of 2FA and be stealthy is scary stuff. So many business rely on VPNs to work. Hope a resolution is found quickly.

Better than tile. I can actually replace the batteries and keep the damn things. Tile you have to replace every 6 months...

Pickles von Brine got a reaction from Letgomyleghoe in Those of you with ADHD...
That is false. ADHD is not something 90% of children will have. Yes, there has been a higher diagnosis of it, but it has been because of better testing. ADHD is a neurological disorder that will persist into adult in in 2/3rd of cases. Children will be hyperactive and maybe inattentive, but that does not mean they have ADHD.

The name ADHD does not even properly describe the condition as well. We do not lack attention, we struggle with regulation of attention amoung MANY MANY other things. ADHD is an executive function disorder, not an attention deficit disorder.

    List of executive functions:
Nonverbal working memory Internalization of Speech (verbal working memory) Self-regulation of affect/motivation/arousal Reconstitution (planning and generativity) List of executive functions disrupted by ADHD:

Organizing, prioritizing and activating for tasks Focusing, sustaining and shifting attention to task Regulating alertness, sustaining effort and processing speed Managing frustration and modulating emotions Utilizing working memory and accessing recall Monitoring and self-regulating action
It is one of the biggest pain in the asses to work with. So unless you have it you will not understand the social and emotion distress it causes. There is no cure either. Medication only helps out with certain areas and does not resolve it.

It also affects my sleep. I have something called DSPD and delayed onsite insomnia do it.

Coping skills, understanding and building tools to assist and working with it is the only way to live with it.

Well, this was unexpected. Rather crappy too! I can understand the reasoning behind it, but you are telling me, 5 years down the line my console could basically become useless? Great. Fun! The fact it needs to connect by to PSN is a bummer to. If and when PSN goes away for the PS4, then that means the console is offically done if the battery goes. Which it will. Hopefully Sony has something to say about this.

Good news to hear. We need all the chip production we get and it is nice to see an IPO. I hope it all goes well. Though id oubt this will help our current struggles. But for the future, investment is never a bad thing.

Sadly, I had to put old and trusty to rest this week. A faithful companion for nearly 9 years and a reliable partner. She has served me well. 7 video card generations and 3 overhauls.

she started to make a squealing sound while idle that would to go away during load. That soon turned into squealing sound under load as well. Sounds she has never made a day in her life. Even when running 3 video cards at one point (670 and 2 970s) and. 3770k @4.5 under full load.

    Now I have a Seasonic PX-750. 🙂 let’s have a another 10 years.

Oh, best part I got it for 160 bucks. Prices came done ^_^

Pickles von Brine got a reaction from R3DEMPTION13 in Is Seasonic Hybrid fan system safe?
Follow the directions. There needs to be proper ventilation and the fan of the psu must be installed upward and have ventilation above it. Otherwise it must have active cooling. The manual says to do the same. Follow what the manufacture agreement.

Well, we all knew this was coming but who knew it would be so soon? Honestly, Intel has been hurting because of their own manufacturing woes. Should be interesting in 2022 when this happens. The big wonder will be if TSMC can keep up with demand.

Holy crap that is one hell of a hot chip. Even with an all core boost this is insane. It just goes to show how far intel has been able to push things on their 14nm process. I think they may be coming to a near end of what is even possible. God, I cannot imagine the power draw of this monster either.
