  1. That indeed did it, I uninsstalled the original one, rebooted, still did not work. This I expected though because now I had no codec insstalled. I installed the 1$ codec and it worked again right away, without rebooting. Still annoying I guess this iss why people prefer apple. I had the codec installed and it still does not work. That'ss not even mentioning the weird fact of removing that feature from the OS and charging for it.
  2. I was thinking of trying that but thout I might loosse the original one then as you cannot download it anymore, But I guesss at thiss point it does not really matter.
  3. Hi, I am having a weird issue.I have been using Davincie Resolve (Free version, current version 16.2.7) for years now. Mostly for small home video projects. I have already edited tons of iPhone footage with no problem. My PC is a little older but with optimized media, editing is OK i7 4790 k 8GB RAM GTX970 My Windows installation apparently had the HEVC Manufacturer codec already installed. Today I accidentally installed the HEVC codec, I bought from MS for another system. Since then all my H265 footage shows as "Media Offline" in Resolve. I uninstalled the bought c

  7. Hi, I am using my PC for editing with Davinci Resolve 15. Recently I startet using 4K footage which made things slower. Here are my specs: i7-4790K, Mainboard:ASUS Z97-C, Intel Z97, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB, MSI Gaming 4G 8 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1866 (2x 4GB) 500GB Samsung 850 EVO Netzteil:550W - Corsair VS Series Now I am wondering if upgrading to an NVME SSD would improve things. Based on this forum post I would get the 960 Evo with a PCIE adaptor: The upgrade would still be rather expensive with about 220€ so the improvement shuold be significant. What
  8. HI, I have an Asus RT-AC68U router. I have not received a firmware update in a while but a couple of months ago I got the notification that a new AiMesh firmware is available. This update has to be done manually. also there is a note below that: Note : Manual firmware update will update this AiMesh router / node only, if you are using AiMesh system, please make sure you are uploading proper firmware version. I am not using the AiMesh function but I am getting the feeling I should update the firmware non the less as itz seems no more updates for the regular w
  9. Thanks for the quick reply. I will test the tipps. @Ryan_Vickers, I am not talking aout bad sound quality. It really is distorted to the point tat you cannot understand the other person. This is al the time and not just every once in a while.
  10. I now tested it with Skype on an iPhone 5s. There it works fine. Also on Windows I used the Desktop app.
  11. Hi I bought Philips SHB3075BK BASS+ On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones. I connected them to my wifes laptop and iitially everything worked fine. The sound is pretty good for BT HS for less then 50€. Then I tested them with Skype on the same Laptop. There the sound is horribly distorted and yu can barely understand the other person. The microphone seems to work fine. One reviewer on Amazon indicated, that he had a similar problem and that he even contacted Philips. They told him that the Hedset is specifically designed to wor with Phones and tablets and that they use other BT protocols then
