madknight3 got a reaction from Uehm in Want to install an additional 1TB HDD for RAID 0 but don't know how.
I would imagine it's because half the bytes are being written to a slower hard drive thus reducing performance greatly. The SSD's speed becomes limited by the HDD's speed.

If you have a single 1TB HDD and a single 120 GB SSD, then install the OS on your SSD for your boot drive and use the WD 1 TB HDD as a second drive for mass storage.

If you have 2 SSDs or 2 HDD's then you can pair them in raid. But you don't pair an SSD and HDD in raid.

Here are some more direct resources that can have you paying around with things more quickly.

Coursera's Cyber Security course might be fun for you to take which I believe starts in August. I'm sure you'll pick up a few things from it. You should be able to take each one for free, or you can pay if you want the certificate. They have a couple other security based courses too which may interest you. Just browse their course lists.

HBH might be a fun place to play around in. You might learn some basic things there.

Def Con and Black Hat are hacking conferences where you can probably learn some neat things. Find their archives. I'm sure there are other conferences out there you can look into.

Learn to love Linux if you don't already. People built a Linux distro for this stuff, Backtrack. Athough I'm not sure if Kali surpasses it. I also think there's a Linux distro out there made to practice your hacking on but I can't seem to find it.

    InfinityExists has some fun videos.

Offensive Security has a lot of courses/certificates they do. Some free like Metasploit Unleashed, most probably not.

madknight3 got a reaction from GoodBytes in IOS and android versions of the forum?
Mostly, with mobile apps or a mobile version of the site, things tend to be better laid out for the small screen size and load times tend to be optimized. Many people also enjoy the experience of an app vs a mobile browser as well since things can be even further customized for the platform (Android, iOS, etc).

I have the 440's and I'm loving them as my first good pair of headphones. The 840 pads still haven't arrived yet but they should be here soon so I'm looking forward to the replacement.

    Shure SRH-440

The little brother to the 840's

    Build
These are built extremely similar to the 840's.
so if you haven't read my 840 review, go read it.

the 440 headband is a little thinner and is pleather instead of the cloth material of the 840's

The cups are a little smaller decreasing the volume of the internal chamber.

    Sound
This is a tough section to write as they are extremely similar sounding to the 840's.

I believe the drivers are the same in both headphones, the only difference is the earcup size and earpads.
the stock earpads were used, hard and were starting to crack, so when i was using those, they didn't have the best seal and just sounded thin in the bass and vocals.

The 440 pads weren't used a whole lot, and I quickly threw on my extra pair of 840 pads.
      95% of srh840's for about 1/2 the price(new).

they sound a tiny(barely noticeable abx'ing) bit thin in the vocals and bass.
and the bass isn't as tight as the 840's, it's a little bit boomy.(see tiny, above)
The highs are nearly identical in both the 840's and 440's

    Final Thoughts
I find it hard to recommend the 840's after trying these. I think they are the best headphones for the price I've ever tried.
Unless you are into serious studio work and want the tighter bass and a slightly fuller sound, go with the 840's, but if you're not, these are an excellent pair of headphones for the price.

TeamTreehouse has sets of video tutorials on different topics, one of which is responsive web design. It's not free though, about $20-25 a month but if you like structure and video lessons it might be worth checking out and you could always only pay for one month and watch everything you need in that time frame.

Similarly lynda.com does pretty much the same kind of thing.
