I’ve had really good luck with Corsair AIOs lasting a long time, plus their warranty is really solid.

that's more than enough to go beyond 60fps, even 100 is fine

Yeah that comes at the cost of quality already (curves are made with less straight lines, basically). See what we mean by dropping settings doesn't hurt your experience?

The amount of Apple hate from some of the members here is through the roof. Does Microsoft give you a discount, or invite you to their house to dinner for bashing Apple. No they don't, so continuing to do that doesn't make you better or cool, than anyone else.

For those macs, it's nice to see them bringing back with different colors just like the G3.

Sorenson got a reaction from Gustavo Dutra in Is the rtx 3070 good for 1440p ultrawide ?
It’s perfect for it. I’ve been using my 3070 with my 3440x1440 monitor for a couple months and have no complaints. This card is more than enough, getting me high frame rates in pretty much every game I play. Now of course, some games require you to turn down some settings a bit, but that is due to poor optimization and not the card being underpowered. Keep in mind, this card is pretty much as powerful as a 2080ti, no one in their right mind would have said that’s not enough for 3440x1440 last year. Also, the 8gb of VRAM hasn’t been an issue, although I do wish it had a bit more.

My memory is that only some x570 boards even allow the possibility of thunderbolt, and the card and the motherboard often have to be made for each other.  If there is a thunderbolt card that will work with that motherboard it will likely be made by that particular manufacturer and be quite specific.  Things change all the time though and this info may be out of date.  Knew someone who wanted the cheapest decent x570 board that would take thunderbolt.  The MSRP was like $USA350 at the time.  For just the motherboard iirc.  I talked her into a b550.  The board was lower price, higher quality, and had more i/o

Yea, its jarring at first to be honest. I almost returned mine because of it, but now I don't even notice it. VA's have their black crush and slow response time, TN have their crappy colors, and IPS has IPS glow. Its unfortunately just part of the tradeoff. When they figure out micro-led or long-lasting OLED I will happily upgrade.

Yep, that's how my LG ultrawide looks. You get use to it. It's not noticeable in normal/non-dark scenes right?

Fans: I would put in as many as you can. You can change the AIO pump header to be a regular fan header in motherboard control and change the fan curve there. However, I would personally go with gigabyte or MSI b550 over Asus. There is no reason to pay the premium unless you really like the look. Also. you can use fan y splitters, and the arctic P12 are a good affordable option.  PSU: unless you want to upgrade to a 3080 you can get away with the SF600. However, if you value noise the SF750’s fan doesn’t turn on nearly as early in the PSU usage as the SF600. its not loud when its on though.  IDK about RGB

Ahh I see, I wasn’t considering the VRM cooling. Although, the nr200 does have fan mounts in the top for two 120mm fans. You can just have this set as intake and it will give you the VRM cooling. There is very little room for an adequate cooler with the vertical mount, so I still believe the AIO would be the best option in this case, especially once you go to the 5600x. Almost every vertical NR200 I see on R/SFFPC use this setup.

I never work with AIO before just because the hassle lol. And another reason for using low profile downdraft cooler is because i'm using cheap itx board from asrock.

The b550m itx/ac have a very small heatsink compared to other itx motherboard and from what i've read, it's beneficial to use downdraft air cooler. Thoughts?

What kind of programs? If its basic productivity and web browser stuff both will be great, so go with the cheaper option for CPU+MOBO. The 10400 is locked, so you’ll be limited to its stock boost clock. Also, if you go with a lower end mobo on intel, which makes sense with the 10400, you’ll be stuck with slower RAM speeds which might impact performance. You might be able to find a good deal on a last gen 9700k, which is the way I would go if I was going to build Intel.

The only thing I could think of would be firmware updates and the smart functions. You will still get the same picture quality and picture adjustments. Also, you can usually update firmware with a usb stick. Or, just plug in ethernet only when you want to update the firmware.

Yeah, like I can kill people with a PC.

If I throw or drop my computer on you, I could kill you. Maybe give you a concussion if I didn't try too hard. Especially a computer like this (mine).

But if I throw an iPad at you, the worst I can do is give you a bruise.
