For me it is less of a size issue and more that the height of the g604 puts my wrist at a weird angle. I find the triathlon much more comfortable. The g604 was in stock when I needed it and I dont have much bad to say about it other than it is too tall for me, and the software is a royal pain to save your settings to the on board memory.

For keyboard consider ordering a switch sampler and see what you like. If I reccomend a keyboard its gonna be something hotswappable with tactile switches because that is my preference. Maybe look at the gmmk or the kemove shadow. Both should be available for under 100. Dont end up liking the switches you chose, you can change them later pretty inexpensively.

For a numpad I am using a wireless mechanical numpad. It isnt anything special, but it works well, and can be placed out of the way when not in use.

Really it is going to come down to trying a few things out. Some will work for you and others wont.

It sounds like you are trying to make your setup more ergonomic and minimize stress on yourself.

Personally the biggest improvements to my setup were going to a 60 percent keyboard so that my mouse is in a more natural position on the desk.

I still use a numpad, but it it located above my mouse. Changing your layout will change the comfort level alot.

As for mouse and keyboard they are so subjective. I have the g604 right now. Personally I think it is too tall and the side buttons are uncomfortable. I constantly hit them with my thumb. Your experience will vary. Go try it out.

For keyboards chiclet style keyboards like the mx keys are probably my least favorite style. Some people like them totally subjective. Personally I would look for a solid budget mechanical keyboard.

Look at the kemove snowfox. Hotswappable, nice default layout, full rgb control, decent keycaps, very nice stabilizers, bluetooth and wired. It runs a few bucks more than the rk61.

It looks like they would both need the power supply upgraded if you intended to add a gpu. Just my experience, but I would go with the hp.

The aftermarket dell adapters work sometimes, dont others. They use proprietary connectors in everything making it an absolute nightmare if you wanted to try and use the motherboard in a different case. One thing that absolutely drives me nuts is the fan speed errors if you use aftermarket fans.

markr54632 got a reaction from sub68 in why do most people get steel series gck mouse mats
The only reason I have one is it was the cheapest mousepad the store I was at had in stock at the time and I needed a mousepad. Still not overly fond of it. After a year the thing still doesnt lay flat, and I have a much nicer looking mousepad now.

You can clip and lube the stabilizers, but that requires soldering if the board isnt hotswappable. If you are going that far you might as well replace them with genuine cherry stabilizers.

markr54632 got a reaction from Lii in Any wireless keyboard under 100 euros?
Is there a purpose for it (work, media center, etc)? Does it matter what kind of wireless? How portable does it need to be and how important is silence?

I ended up with a kemove shadow for my main keyboard. It is a 60 percent so pretty small. It is bluetooth wireless. Gateron browns, so reasonably quiet. Has media functions and arrow keys marked and on a second layer, which is really easy to use. It is also hot swappable, so you could switch out to silent switches if normal reds or browns aren't quiet enough.

For my work keyboard I ended up with a velocifire tkl71ws. It is a 65 percent, so dedicated arrow keys. They also make a full size and a 60 percent. It has a 2.4 ghz dongle. No media controls at all. Very basic keyboard. It only comes with content or outemu browns as far as I am aware. I really like this board for it's intended purpose, but the stabilizers are a little cheap feeling if you are sensitive to that. It is a cheap board, but it is pretty well built and it is something that will frequently spend time in a backpack for me.

Both of those are on amazon and under budget.

Mxm was dropped by nvidia and amd if I recall correctly. So not this generation. Even when it was a "standard" the GPU's often didnt work across different manufacturers or models and required modifications to the cooling solution to upgrade. That's if you could even find a replacement mxm module for less than the cost of the laptop.

Why do you want to keep it so bad? Legitimate sd cards are so cheap anymore.  You can get a real 256 gb card for around 40 dollars.

I have a couple of these I tried out. They will only hold around 16 gb, and will overwrite the data to an extent. When you go to access the music it's going to be a crapshoot as to what is actually on there. Some songs might work, others may show a title and be corrupted.

It is pretty easy to find a keyboard for under 40 with brown, red, or black clone switches. You are right blue clones are the most common, but the others aren't too hard to find.

This actually made me laugh. You can discern how fast a car has been driven, average acceleration and deceleration profiles, and much much more by interfacing with the pcm now. You would be stunned at the amount of information that can be pulled. Of course this varies by make/model. Warrantees can have and will continue to be denied based off of recorded info.

Commercial use is usually not covered by warrantee unless explicitly stated.

If the games it comes with are physical games that you would play that is a great deal. Digital games wouldn't be worth the hassle. Supposedly the series x is going to have no console exclusives for the first year, so why not get an xbox one.

You need a driver board to use a laptop screen as a monitor. They are model specific, so you will need the model of the display to find one. They are expensive and the end result is kind of sketchy at best. Better off "recycling" the display and buying a cheap second hand monitor in almost ever scenario.

I would love to see most of the new phone trends stop. Honestly if things keep going the way they are my next phone will be a cheap prepay nokia.

The notch is insufferable. It triggers me. I will not own a phone before I own one with a notch.

Curved glass sucks. Any extra real estate is wasted.

All glass phones suck. Far too fragile. On that point there is no phone on the market right now that is tolerably durable.

Not being able to change the battery in my phone is another insufferable effect of the new phone trends.

I pretty much needed the same thing. My budget was about half of what you have. I ended up with an Acer nitro 5, but given a higher budget definitely would have gone with something out of the thinkpad line.

Just a word of advice from experience. Do not go "thin and light". I tried using my msi gs63 and it was so loud the majority of my teachers would not allow it in the classroom, and this was with basic note taking and browsing. Under load most thin and lights sound like a jet engine taking off.

Sounds like a cheap Chinese or factory reject battery. See if you can exchange it. If not try to find a first party battery either through MSI or used in better shape.
