  1. when i type java -version i get back: C:\>java -version java version "1.8.0_271" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_271-b09) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.271-b09, mixed mode)
  2. this is what happens when i type that into command prompt: C:\>Java\jre1.8.0_271\bin\java.exe -jar forge-1.16.4-35.1.4-installer.jar java.io.FileNotFoundException: forge-1.16.4-35.1.4-installer.jar.log (Access is denied) at java.io.FileOutputStream.open0(Native Method) at java.io.FileOutputStream.open(Unknown Source) at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(Unknown Source) at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(Unknown Source) at net.minecraftforge.installer.SimpleInstaller.getLog(SimpleInstaller.java:180) at net.mi
  3. So I have been messing around with Minecraft and some mods, when i found out I needed to update Forge to get one mod in particular to work. so I saved all of my mods, uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft to make sure I was getting a clean install then tried to run the Forge installer and nothing happened. All it did was create a text file called Forge.jar.log where it identified my Java version, so I tried to uninstall and reinstall java, still no luck. so I figured maybe I should look at the java control panel, but even that won't open when I try to pull it up. It's like my computer just ref
  4. I am looking to upgrade my current gaming headset (steelseries arctis pro) and I want to just get a good pair of headphones to use in my day to day life as well (potentially bose quietcomfort 35's) but I would also like to still use it for gaming on my PC, Xbox and PS4. I figured i would use the antlion mod mic in order to allow me to use it on consoles, but what equipment should i get within a reasonable budget to get great sound out of my PC? Also would there be any way to allow a headset to take in audio from multiple sources at once? Such as listening to a youtube video on my computer whil

  6. Today I upgraded from an i7-7700k to a Ryzen 9 3900x. After swapping out motherboards and CPUs, I tried to run my system but it wouldnt post. All lights would come on, I wouldnt get any sort of error messages or tone and my GPU fans would spin up to 100% and stay there. After removing my gpu and putting it back in the system it would post but if I turn it off it will go back to refusing to post. My graphics card is an EVGA 2080. Why would it be having this specific start up issue? I also noticed that every core on the CPU is jumping between base clock and boost clock even though the system is
  7. so which chipsets will have bios flashback and not require any bios updates? just so i know what im looking for, i dont think i have any stores near me that carry any of this so online is really my only option.
  8. So if I got the Asus ROG Strix x470 F Motherboard it would work out of box with 3rd gen ryzen and not require any sort of bios update?
  9. I am looking to upgrade my CPU from an i7 7700k to something more modern. I only really use my PC for gaming so I am not super worried about video editing or rendering performance. I am torn between upgrading to the i9 9900k or the Ryzen 3900x. the 3900x is potentially a bit cheaper, but I am not sure if i can get a motherboard that works with it out of box, because pc part picker keeps telling me some motherboards will need a bios update out of box in order to work with 3rd gen ryzen processors and I don't have an older processor to use to upgrade bios with. The i9 9900k seems to be a bit mor
  10. Well after looking at the actual reddit thread I found the guys post, he said he used CRU to manually set the range to 57-144 and it worked perfectly, several others replied saying they had the same results and under 57 it just doubled refresh rate to prevent tearing. So I think I will just go with that one, seems like a pretty good deal to me.
  11. Well if that's the case it seems like that would be the best deal. According to that reddit list the MG279Q works with 35-90 by default and works seamlessly at 57-144. That seems like a pretty acceptable range to me, I dont think I will fall below it for more than a frame or two. This might have saved me like $100.
  12. Looking at the Asus MG279Q it has multiple listed ranges. 1 range just says the monitor was OCed and the other says it was altered with CRU. I'm not sure how to get those things to work. or if it is worth risking that over just buying the one g-sync i can afford.
  13. so the adaptive refresh range is just something set on the monitor itself?
  14. Getting this monitor is the option I am leaning to. Mainly because it is everything I want. No compromises.
