  1. Informative
Adaa got a reaction from thechinchinsong in RTX 3K card supply super low,+ Retailer stats.
    Summary
So they posted this a few days ago over on Guru3d, and i have not seen any major youtubers comment on it, or bring the news.
In my sources i added the original source, and the link that they used.

The info is originated from a danish online retailer, that are one of the more popular hardware shops in Denmark.
This is why the amount ordered and requested seems a bit low. All tho considering it was this low it seems scalping at least at this store was not the major issue.
Rather the low amont of RTX 3080/3090 cards they recieved from board partners was.

Also, in case this was already posted somewhere i am very sry for the post. I tryed seaching for it, but couldnt find any news with that link to guru3d in it.

Also sry for bad gramma, i am not a native English speaker.
    My thoughts
It looks a lot more like super low supply worldwide, than a major scalping problem.
Obviously that could be wrong since its only based on 1 Etailer/reseller.

Adaa reacted to williamcll in Ready even before release - new Asus motherboards with Zen 3 in mind
While the rumors that AMD might not be releasing a new motherboard for Ryzen 5000 series continues to spread, Asus has announced 2 new motherboards that still uses the current generation AMD chipset: It should also be noted that BIOS with support for the upcoming processors will be coming soon.

Thoughts: it's certainly interesting to see Asus refreshing a high end motherboard for the upcoming processors, I wonder what kind of designs the competition will adopt?

No, I'd be unhappy because Linus videos are for more of a comedic effect now and even when he tries to be serious he always fucks up somehow. Couldn't tell you the last time I watched a LTT product review. They're all trash

Adaa reacted to 2FA in 4,2XFR on threadripper. Higher binned/new stepping chips) ?
It's like GPU Boost, there is a stock clock, a guaranteed minimum boost clock, and then additional boost clock if thermals allow.

Adaa reacted to The Benjamins in 4,2XFR on threadripper. Higher binned/new stepping chips) ?
That is some wiseful thinking. it took them 4+ years to make that jump.

I would expect 5%-10% clock bump and 5%-10% IPC bump, not another 40+% bump.

Note: I also find what I expect to be optimistic. it also seems likely that Zen2 will have 6c per ccx which would be a 50% core/multi thread bump.

Adaa reacted to PianoPlayer88Key in 4,2XFR on threadripper. Higher binned/new stepping chips) ?
Having higher boost clocks is nice, sure.  But, I want to see better IPC in the next generation, like the better of the 2 following examples...

In single-threaded mode at 4 GHz, get like 200-250 in CineBench R15.
Or, pass whatever is the then-current Intel architecture in IPC, by how far the FX series had been behind Intel's latest before Ryzen was released.  For example, if Piledriver did 50%  of Intel Kaby Lake (LGA1151), then Ryzen 2 / Threadripper 2 should do 200% of Coffee Lake / Ice Lake / whatever is out at the time.  If it was 25% behind, then it should be 33% ahead.  Basically, leapfrog by the reciprocal or something like that.

    Or simply golden binned chips.
Unlike most recommending 1700 (non x)advices, due to techchannels calling them 100% identical, I still belive theres a big binning proccess, it migth be same chip with all the ryzens, but its differently not same 4+Ghz % betwean them, hell my 1700, struggles to get stable above 3,8 at any voltages below 1,4 and 3,9 seems impossible on air and at safe voltage below 1,425v.

Adaa reacted to Princess Luna in Linus Drops AGAIN!
Obviously he did, half the people at LTX were there just to see what would be dropped... fitting to be Razer crap.

Adaa reacted to The Benjamins in 4,2XFR on threadripper. Higher binned/new stepping chips) ?
well they bin them for ryzen, TR and epyc. they all use the same die, it all comes from the same bucket. the same die used in the Epyc 7601 can be used in a R3 1200.

so again I don't see how it is wasteful, if they have to many high end chips for lets say the 1950x then demand needs, they can just put them in 1800x or 1700x or 1700, ect.

Adaa got a reaction from Trik'Stari in What should I review next?
How about a massive Ryzen , mem oc guide, not just with the biggest highend chips that most of us cant afford anyhow.

u could do a 2-10 mobo setup, with 3-10 sets of mem, 2*8gb with Samsung B die + Hynix dies, + Micron Dies,
hell u can make a whole series of this if its to much for 1 video.
go into details with settings needed for ram setups on the different chips/vendor sticks, and show tests, and difference in preformance, this way you guide people into if its worth spending extra on the super expensive samung b die stuff. + If its smart to run 2*8gb vs 4*8gb vs 2*16gb, in an attempt to max clockspeed/gb size, in your ryzen systems with minimal punishment or issues.  I bet a ton of people could be interrested in a ton of ram and bios details for the most used hardware out there, (not just the highend stuff, like you usually do). go for cheap X370 boards, and B350 boards, and some of the more commen ram kitts, (Corsair LPX 2666-3000-3200/Gskill F4/Ripjaw V 2800-3000-3200-3466/Crucial Balistix Sport/Extreme 2666-3000-3200) sticks best value->speed ram kitts.

We need more of that stuff, its not something a lot of youtubers do, its a massive big work, and i bet it can draw in a ton of views, esp for all the new ryzen owners out there, or any potentially new once as well.
