  1. Thanks for the info. I don't think I'm willing to risk putting any load on the card given my current power supply is well below Asus's recommended 650W. But the idle power draw looks minimal. Do you think it would be safe to install the card as long as I don't use my PC for anything more than Netflix and YouTube?
  2. Hi all, here are the specs of my system: CPU - i7 6700 GPU - ROG Strix 2070 Super Motherboard - Asus ROG Maximus VIII hero RAM - 16GB Corsair Vengence SSD - 250GB Samsung 860 Evo HDD 1 - Segate 1TB 7200rpm HDD 2 - Toshiba 2TB 7200rpm Fans - 4x 120mm + 2x 140mm corsair fans Power Supply - Coolermaster B500 V.2 80+ Bronze I have just recently bought the RTX 2070 super (used). I would like to test it in my current system just to make sure its working. I realize my power supply is not good enough to run this setup but would it be ok just to
  3. Sorry I've been offline for so long. Yes I realize now that I made a mistake. My PSU is the Cooler Master B500 V2. I've just bought an Asus ROG 2070 Super but I haven't installed it in my system yet. Should I be worried about my PSU? Sorry for the mistakes, I'm still fairly new to PC building. This is my first rig that I am upgrading for the first time.
  4. Sorry its an 80+ bronze power supply. Thanks for the info. I've been wanting to get a 2070 for some time. Just wasn't sure if my rig could handle it.
  5. Hi guys, I currently have an i7 6700, GTX1060 and a Cooler Master B550 V2 in my rig. I am wanting to upgrade my graphics card and I'm wandering what would be the most powerful graphics card that I can reasonably use with my 550W power supply? I'm hoping to upgrade to an RTX card. Thanks in advance for any advice.
  6. Hi all, I'm afraid I'm having some difficulty backing up my playstation 4 to my external hard drive. Previously (a week ago) I was able to back up without any issues. Today I tried to backup again to the same hard drive (there was still more than enough free space with the old backup) and after my PS4 restarted and begun the process, within a few seconds I get an error saying "cannot backup CE-31414-3". I have tried reformatting the hard drive several times as well as rebuilding the database. I am also unable to find any useful information regarding this error code online (strangely it doesn't
  7. Hi all, I am using Google Sheets and I have several cells with the following formula: ="Savings: " &SUM(C3:C31) This formula enables the use of both text and a number formula in the same cell. I am wanting to add a currency symbol and colour to ONLY the resulting number in the cell. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.
  8. Sorry for the delay. I'm afraid I am not an admin. I just happen to know slightly more about these systems than anyone else in my office. Therefore I'm the first person they ask for help. But it's far from my area of expertise. In system properties on the server I only see workgroup. I have just had a technician from an IT company nearby come round and take a look at it but he also wasn't sure what the problem is. He suggested the best thing to do would be to re-load windows. So I think I'll try that and see if it helps.
  9. My apologies if this is a ridiculous question but how can I find out if the server is part of a domain? I know for sure that the user name and password are for an admin user account on the server. I have logged in locally on the server with those details.
  10. Hi all, I recently changed the IP for a PC at my office in order to get it working with a network printer/scanner. However, after changing the IP I can no longer access the server (also at my office) even though the rest of the PC's in the office (which are all on the same IP range and connected to the same network switch) still have access. I have attached pictures showing the error and I am sure the user name and password are correct. The user name and password shown are for an account currently logged in on the server. Anyone have any ideas? I'm afraid I'm not very
  11. I suspected this might be the case. Thanks for the info.
  12. It sounds so simple. Is anyone able to confirm if this will work?
  13. Hi all, I have a gaming PC at home but my Wi-Fi is capped. I also have a MacBook which comes with me to work every day and the Wi-Fi at work is uncapped. Is there any way I can download new games on my Mac and transfer them to my PC back home? Thanks in advance for any advice.
  14. This might be a stupid question but are there any dangers to playing a few steam games while doing a full system backup in Windows 10? I'm using the Windows 7 back up and restore feature. Thanks in advance.
