  1. i found it and turned it on clock speed still seems to be stuck
  2. Intel 7700k Msi M5 motherboard I had the cpu overclocked to 5.1 stable I noticed that it started to run hot at idle 40's-50's saw that the clock speed stays at 5.1 checked windows power settings, everything was good there with the MSI board i have the game boost overclock function that is supposed to ramp up to 4.8 on heavy load instead it is just stuck at 4.8 I'm sure that i must be overlooking something Any, All ideas are welcome.
  3. When i open task manager, the process disappears. I have to use the IObit process manager to find it. C:\Windows\System32\attrib.exe running Task manager is the only thing that makes my cpu usage drop
  4. Thanks for the reply, and i know thats the easy answer, but i just wanted to see if anyone had any insight on if i'm spending 200 for activation on an ongoing issue that i'll have or if this is most likely the culprit

  6. About a week ago My Windows 10 store stopped working. It says "Store can't open; contact admin to fix or reinstall" First off, i have not activated windows yet as wanted to take a month to check compatibility with all my programs. Nearing the end of that month is when this began. Now other apps that i downloaded from the windows store are acting the same way. Is this a activation issue? If so, I will just activate and move on, but if this is a windows 10 issue, then i'd like to know if there is some sort of fix. Thanks
  7. So I've been working on this issue for about a week and I have searched everywhere I could find to no avail. Hoping someone here can give me some good direction. This is a month old build. It is a z270 build with a 7700k. if any other specs are needed, please let me know. It started as I noticed super high CPU usage, in the 90's%. I immediately opened task manager and It dropped to 4%. When i Closed task manager it shot back up. I opened IOBIT process manager to find it was the System32 attrib.exe. I ran multiple virus and malware scans and they all find nothing
  8. Looking at getting the NZXT H440 wondering if the X62-2 will fit up top while having the corsair 120 rad from my sea hawk in the rear. Or would i have to put my sea hawk rad in the bottom front position?
  9. I'll be honest, I've always been an intel guy. At one point (mid 2000's) I used an AMD GPU and was extremely disappointed. Kinda turned me off of AMD. I've not had those types of issues with Intel (or in GPU case - Nvidia) A switch to AMD just makes me worry a lot about things like driver compatibility, and maybe even more, my lack of knowledge and experience with AMD products. I feel like Ryzen hasn't been around long enough to really prove its longevity. 1) why would you put a 100 dollar cpu cooler on a 240(?) dollar cpu, you won't get 340 dollars worth o
  10. This is a new build i was looking at. I haven't got my hands n kaby's, 10 series or z270 boards yet. Just wanted to hear any thoughts on potential bottlenecks in this system. This will be used for moderate gaming, moderate video editing, graphic design and architectural design (cad, sketchup, lumion) Msi m5 z270 motherboard Corsair Vengeance LPX 16Gb (2x8gb) DDR4 3000 Intel Core i5-7600k Kaby Lake (watercooled by Kraken x42 or maybe Corsair h100i v2) Corsair Force MP500 M.2 2280 480gb Msi GTX 1070 sea hawk EVGA Supernove G3 power
