xXCapAwesomeXx got a reaction from MartinKweh in RAM Speeds
Looks like the i7 6700 supports up to DDR4 2133MHz, personally in using different ram speeds I don't notice a huge difference but I don't go back and forth that much. Buying the 3000MHz ram isn't necessarily a bad idea because you would be able to use it with newer parts in the future if you were to upgrade. There is a possibility that you could run into some issues with under clocking your ram but generally that is not a problem

If you want your graphics card to work less hard, you should buy a 1080 Ti or a Titan V
Joking aside: as mentioned above, this means that your 8700K is not a bottleneck for your system. You can play more CPU intensive games and then you'll probably see the 1080's usage go down.

I'd get the 1080 but get a STRIX rather than a Gaming X because it's a better cooler.

It won't as long as you're willing to pay for it.  Unfortunately there were basically only two reasons for getting rid of net neutrality.  The first reason was greed (money), and the second was more greed (more  money).  Oh, forgot.  More money.

Welcome, I would assume that it would still be effective due to larger heat sink and more fan area but it just isn't practical at all. It would make the card ridiculously heavy and would block all of the other expansion slots.

you can try downloading msi afterburner and see if it recognizes is and then set a custom fan curve

xXCapAwesomeXx reacted to Carclis in I Need Help with Overclocking
If you've already found your limit in terms of +core clock then you can start altering the frequency curve. You can get to it by pressing ctrl+f. Assuming you don't have the extra voltage limit added your highest value on the curve should be 1062mv but if you maxed it then you should be up to 1093mv. Try playing around with those two points depending on if you turned the voltage to +100% or not and see how far you can push them.

I would listen to these guys here :-)
    - 140 is way quieter than 120 when shuffling the same amount of air. Always. Discussion ends here. Period.
    - 2x 140 are most likely better than 3x120. Though there will be no harm in 3x120.
    - keep fans and RGB separate because RGB fans generally suck (and by suck I don't mean air).
If you want to really get RGB fans get decent ones like already suggested get inwin aurora or cooler master rgb fans.
you want to read up on what positive pressure is and how to achieve it. to make things short: make sure you got more airflow incoming that whats going out.
I'm sorry but lets face it: the case you got pretty much sucks when it comes to temperatures
and finally - asking the same question in different phrases 10 times doesn't help your cause.

Get a single 1080 ti, 16 gb of ram, and get a 1440p 144 hz monitor. If you can find a 1080p or 1440p 60hz version of that monitor with the same outside design fpr the second monitor then i'd get that. 144hz is really only useful for gaming so the second monitor would do fine without it
