I think it's pointless to ask for change without giving some examples or suggestions.

Is this supposed to be a joke? Every single one of those platforms you have listed does not even have video as their main service. Plus the way you browse and watch videos works completely different. Not to mention the type and quality of content.

Dont get me started on Twitch, with their utterly stupid concept of videos only being visible a limited amount of time after streaming, if at all.

The only similar platform to YT is Vimeo, and go figure where that one stands.

dizmo reacted to Dedayog in 9700K for $200
Platform is a closed end, just like AM4 is now.  No one will be upgrading their 5600X on their same motherboards in the future either.

The 9700k for $200 vs the 3600x for $200.  Both allow room on their respective boards for an upgrade, the 9700k to 9900k, and the 3600x to a few more choices.

Personally I'd go with the 9700k for $200, and then upgrade in a few generations.  If I bought the 3600x, I'd still probably wait a few gens to upgrade again,  so the "upgrade path" option is moot for me.

A lot of emphasis is placed on "dead end platforms" but outside of the very few enthusiasts, many people don't upgrade within a platform regardless how long it lasts, in any meaningful way. Sure they may take a 3600 machine, use it for 6 years, then pop a 5600x in it to extend it a year, but realistically?

9700k for $200 is a great deal.  Period.

AMD is in that boat now as well as AMD Ryzen 5000 series should be the last CPU generation for AM4 (Its been 5 years already). They're both dead end platforms but Intel is more so since they love changing chipsets every two years.

Flagship is a tier, doesn't mean it has to be the highest end one.
Plastic is fine, much better than glass when a phone is accidentally dropped, and won't shatter, also allows for easier battery replacement than fragile glass.
There isn't anything wrong with a case in my opinion, it makes a phone more comfortable to hold and less prone to damage.
Not noticeable with an OLED display, and OLED displays are more than bright enough, also OLED displays in flagship phones rarely fail.
At the expense of battery life, I'd rather have a phone with a higher capacity battery.

Don't get a gaming laptop for school work. No one wants to be partnered with the kid who's laptop dies in the middle of a project or study session.
Lenovo is a good choice, some of Dell's laptops also have excellent battery life.

Yeah your guess is as good as mine. It seemed like an odd thing to nitpick over....I can't really see a ton of Mac Mini users needing 10g networking.
Seems like one of those times where Linus sees his niche need disappearing, and forgets that the average person that's watching the review doesn't care about 10g networking. The classic reviewer dilemma. They see tons of tech on a regular basis and lose touch with the average consumer.

I mean. I get what you're saying. But at the same time, I really don't think it's a huge problem for most purchasers of a Mac Mini.
Would you really do that with a Mac Mini, though?
I'm going to assume you also realize that just because you do it and a lot of people on here do, that doesn't mean that a lot of people in general do, or that the market they're targeting with the Mac Mini does.
Pretty sure NASA isn't using Mac Minis...
