It's just like HEY!!! YOU ASKED FOR ME???!?!?!!!!
Impressions after using it for an hour.... it's fast! And that's with the expectation that it was going to be since I waited for reviews before buying one.
My main hesitation was wondering whether I should get the Air or the Pro.
After seeing there were only a few benefits that I'm not looking for in a thin and light, I went with the Air.
I don't do much with my laptops. Just mainly log into bigger and faster PCs when I need to, so sustained workloads weren't a concern.
NOT having the TouchBar was more a benefit than a drawback for me also.
Usability wise, after a half hour using Safari, Firefox feels like dial-up.
I almost regret using Safari at all. I don't wanna go back.
At the end of the day, as someone who doesn't use a laptop very long, I more look forward this thing always having a charge when I reach for it.
That's what I am hoping to get out of the M1. I've loved that for many years about the iPad and longed for it in a laptop. Hopefully the time has come.

Got a pair of Mpow H7.
I'm surprised by the build quality and sound quality.
Keep in mind those are $34 (CAD, so $26USD), I recharged them for 30 minutes before using them. I've been using them for almost 2h now and the battery is still reporting 90%+
Sound has a bit too much bass and it's a bit muddy, nothing a small EQ setting can't fix. But there's no distortion, even at high volume.
I haven't tried the mic yet, but I'm not expecting it to be anything good.
The only issue I have with it is the ear cups, I prefer the cloth type cups (like the ones on my Logitech G433), and being an on-ear headphone, they're a bit uncomfortable for me (it makes my glasses arms dig in my ears). I might hand them down to my daughter and get the H19 IPO instead. Note that they come with an aux cable and can be used wired instead of wireless (BT), though, the cable doesn't have an inline mic, so you won't be able to use it for call.
Overall, if you're looking for an ok pair of on-ear headphones for cheap, you can't really go wrong with them. If you're looking something with a good microphone, or for over-the-ear headphones, look elsewhere.

My grandparents on my mother's side are coming today from China. Apparently, China has recovered so much that masks aren't worn anymore--they sent me a photo of a huge group of people. Anyway, it's been over a year since I've seen them in person. I'm happy to see them again.

Just finished Playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, the main story.. such a fantastic game. SOOOOO much to do and such a huge large area.. my lord... Not sure if ill ever go 100% on it since its such a large scale game with hundreds of hours worth of gameplay, but its well worth the money for the game!

Again just rumours. Early rumours.

Been running my PC with my fans at 0v for a few weeks now, the lack of fan bearing noise has been a bliss. My main concern with this was proper airflow for not just the cooler but also the graphics card, although I'm finding I'm not gaming as much as I used to, so this doesn't really become a problem, and even when the time comes, the fans are set to come to life when it gets a bit too toasty, dictated by the CPU.

Hey kids, Crunchy here with another budget PC build status update.
Remember waaaaaay back when I said I wasn't buying an HD 7850 for this rig? I didn't buy one. Instead, I nailed down a much better card for the same price through the power of hunting Ebay listings for way too many hours.
Allow for a couple weeks and nearly $20 in shipping because Ebay seller didn't use USPS flat rate Priority mail, and new toy is here ❤️

I find my Asus ZenBook 3's screen so much more vibrant, colorful, and overall higher quality than my LG monitor that I find myself making up excuses to use this machine, not mentioning just how gorgeous it looks other than the screen.
It has to be one of my favorite purchases I've made this year, next to my Samsung S20, which both conveniently have made the shift to USB-C-ing everything way easier since both charge and data sync using USB-C, so both would only need my one USB-C dongle.

FiiO M5 Bluetooth AMP/Audio Player - Use and Audio Experience
Honestly, I wasn't going to do a "First Impressions" for the FiiO M5, but interacting with and listening to it was such an interesting experience, it gave me second thoughts -- many thoughts. Really, though, I have no business doing audio "reviews," "impressions" or anything of the sort. I don't have the related background knowledge, I never paid attention in music class about anything musical, and I'm going to butcher the terminology. Here goes... 😶💦
So, is the FiiO M5 for everyone? Probably not. For the same $99.99 price tag, I wager there are other audio players with better DACs, more powerful AMPs, cleaner interfaces, more features, and the like.
But do I enjoy the FiiO M5? Heeeeeell to the yes, I do! 😁
Personally, I'm not a fan of wishy-washy statements, but it's no exaggeration to say I'm really enjoying my music a heckuva lot more with the FiiO M5 plus FiiO FH5's. I've listened to my 東方Project - 秘封倶楽部 playlist probably thousands of times by now, day after day, sometimes bordering on 18 hours a day, and only switching things up whenever TUMENECO/GET IN THE RING release new songs or when I need a break from too much 東方 (psh, there's never enough 東方). The FiiO M5/FiiO FH5 combo just gave my playlist a very refreshing, very invigorating boost, and I'm loving it. 🥰
Also, poking around and experimenting with its settings is pretty fun, and it takes little effort on my part to accommodate this lil' fella into my daily carry.
I think the FiiO M5 targets a sort of niche in the audiophile community? A niche within a niche? Those that prioritize portability over all else, but still desire some decent audio quality. Or, I dunno, those that have a passing interest in audio stuff and an extra hundred bucks to throw at some nifty lil' thingymajig? 😳 To be fair, though, I got the FiiO M5 with a 10% discount, on top of a $20 Amazon store credit bonus; came out to $64.99 (free shipping, but not counting taxes).
For under $70, it's great. For $100? Not sure. As I said, there are probably way better options on the market, if you don't have weird priorities when it comes to audio gear like I do. 😆
