AdamBGames got a reaction from Tan3l6 in Is the component fits? (First Build)
This system looks fine, in terms of GPUs, it's unknown, TSMC which creates the SOCs for NVidia and AMD have said they have been set back to 2022, though Intel are looking to put out their first graphics card this year and since they have their own FAB locations, its possible they might have ones available, but that could have compatability issues like the integrated graphics on their existing CPUs

AdamBGames got a reaction from Bat-LB in My RAM speed is showing up less than half the speed it should be
So, because RAM is DDR, which means Double Data rate, sometimes it will come up as half that at 1500, since 1500x2 is 3000. When it says 1067, that leads me to believe that your ram is running at the stock 2133Mhz, what you need to do is go into the BIOS and either enable XMP or manually set the ram speed to 3000Mhz

Not really, the card can just about handle 1080p 60 gaming WITHOUT streaming. Plus 2GB of VRAM is becoming very obsolete very fast so it really depends what games you will be playing. i doubt anything super modern will work but indie games will probably be fine.

AdamBGames got a reaction from skylord0823 in Which should i upgrade for vr CPU or GPU?
While you can get away with a 570 in most well known VR titles, I know from my own usage I can get games like beatsaber and Superhot working with a laptop 560X, the 570 may come into some issues with higher end games depending on their optimisation, games like Half Life Alex will see a few microstutters and games like No Man's Sky will be very stuttery (Poorly optimised IMO) but with lower settings they will be at least playable.

I think however for a more STABLE gameplay, something like a 1070 will be a better choice or if you want to keep to AMD something like a 5600XT is pretty good if you can get one for a good price.

Luckily, since VR is heavily GPU based, the CPU doesnt have to be too extreme, so the 1600 will be fine for most if not all titles.

Thought so. If we were talking about like a 2060 and a 3060 then it would probably be fine, but the problem here is that he wants to use a GT1030 with a 3060.

AdamBGames got a reaction from AndreiArgeanu in A few short questions about relays
Looking at the Datasheet for this relay, the minimum load is 100mA at 5V DC, maximum is 250V in AC/30V in DC, making this a mains voltage capable relay, though the max switching amperage is 15A. https://datasheetspdf.com/pdf-file/948774/FLOURISHING/FL-3FF/1

Looking at an image from Handson Technology, it looks like the top right is a serial control bus that requires 5V input through VCC and Ground through, well, GND. JDVCC is the voltage given to the relays, this looks like it can be removed so that external power can be used for the controling of the Relays, this can be useful in some more technical configurations, if you want a cleaner signal going to the relays. Though I imagine for most people this would be fine to just leave.

AdamBGames got a reaction from ICalledShotgun in My pc is heavily underperforming and I can't figure out why!
I would say it is probably the single channel memory, like LpoolTech said, thats a bad idea for anything AMD, effectively halfing the performance in most games when using an APU and has significant drops in performance on mainline CPUs. Also check if the Ram is running at 3600mhz, I know thats a stupid idea for someone running overclocked hardware, but its possible that the RAM might not be running at the speed it should be.

Just use display capture instead of shilling out for a capture card, OBS is very lightweight now especially if you are using a Nvidia GPU and use Nvenc encoding.

Can I ask why you are going Intel when AMD would give you pretty much the same performance for a lower cost? Especially if you are using lightroom where higher thread counts would be better for you. I only ask because you could get a 3700x, while you will lose some gaming performane, you will double your thread count, plus since you are going for high frequency ram anyway, it would be worth making the switch to AMD

I dont like it, at $260+shipping+the device to use it lets say a Pi3B which is $30, I would probably rather just wait and save a little more and get an OK lower end laptop. Like the one below. Itll probably perform better, have access to windows 10 which gives you a much larger selection of applications. Or hell, get a chromebook for only a little more and use that.
