  1. Hello everyone, first off, here's my parts list for my custom PC I built a few (4?) years ago. 2. Yeah, that's a shame. I really want to try out a Ryzen build just to see what they're like, but it sounds like it will be a hard sell if that means he MUST buy a dedicated GPU. Good suggestion about getting a used one. I know I've sold a few perfectly good GPU's just to justify buying the newer model, so I'm sure there are some out there. Now to see what I can fit in this tiny case without turning it into an expensive slow cooker... Thanks, everyone for your help!
  3. I'm working on figuring out a budget PC build for a friend. I'm thinking I'll try to convince him to get a discrete graphics card, but depending on his budget, I want to provide him with options without a discrete GPU as well. (Plus I'm not sure if the case he's hoping to re-use would really work with a graphics card without overheating.) So my question is, does the Ryzen 3 1300X have integrated graphics? I'm seeing that the original Ryzen chips don't, but something like the Zen-based CPU's do have it? Or am I reading that wrong? Thanks in advance! I haven't done a budg
  4. Thanks! I've always thought 4K was a little gimmicky, but after seeing it in stores, it does look very, very pretty. However, so does Ultra-Wide. I appreciate your thoughts!
  5. Wow, that monitor looks super nice, but a bit more expensive than I'd like. Maybe it's worth saving up a little longer for, though. Have you ever tried a high refresh rate monitor (120 or more Hz) monitor without G-Sync?
  6. Here are some features I'm interested in while trying to figure out what to look for in a new monitor: 4K, 120+ Hz, G-Sync, and Ultra-Wide. I currently have one 23" 1920x1080/60Hz monitor and another older 19" 1440x900/60Hz monitor. (Thinking of replacing the 19" one). I'm sure getting all 4 options would be great, but I have a few constraints: Screen size: I don't think I can go any higher than 27" with my Varidesk Pro Plus 36 (http://ca.varidesk.com/varidesk-pro-plus-36), unless if I got rid of both of my monitors and replaced them with one ultra-wide. I don't w
