Sauron got a reaction from Sad_Potato_Man in I can't downgrade my BIOS in my laptop and it causes extremely high temperatures.
You should contact ASUS support and ask them... that way you can also find out if this is a known issue

Sauron got a reaction from Teddy07 in Need conversion of my program into function type! ASAP please!
You didn't set n to anything in your function
int i,j,n,a; for (i = 0; i < n; i++) so it could be anything, possibly more than your array's length.
You also fill the array after you call the function...
sort(arr); for (i = 0; i < n; i++) scanf("%d", &arr[i]); which means the array is going to be full of garbage since you didn't initialize it.

Sauron reacted to zhnu in C# - Why does my time function somtimes return 3 digits?
You're converting to int so 00:01:01 would give you an LoggedTime 101. Also you should never save dates on a DB without timezone, also databases usually have their own time functions you should use that.

Sauron reacted to Levent in How to install Windows or Linux to a 2nd partition on a remote server?
Did you rent a dedicated machine or rent a virtual server? I havent had much experience with dedicated setups but if you are renting a vps check your service providers control page, I am certain they offer some sort of recovery / reinstall function. Also bootloader is definitely not part of the bios.

Sauron got a reaction from TheCoder2019 in Should Websites Be Required To Have A Dark Mode Option?
Paper is not the same as a screen. A screen is backlit. Lowering the brightness helps but then you get flushed out colors. Dark themes on the other hand don't shine as much light in your eyes while keeping colors vivid.

Sauron got a reaction from sub68 in Should Websites Be Required To Have A Dark Mode Option?
Uhh... like, by law? Seems a bit excessive... and there's a loooong list of things I'd require of a website before I get to the dark theme.
Also Dark Reader exists.

Sauron reacted to pythonmegapixel in Should Websites Be Required To Have A Dark Mode Option?
There are actual accessibility issues that need to be solved first:
Low contrast e.g. grey on white Inconsiderate colour coding Poor font choice Pages which fuck up if you zoom in Needless animation CAPTCHAs with no audio option Important text embedded in images and so on.
Once those are eridicated, developers can turn their consideration to things like dark theme

Sauron got a reaction from CarlBar in Cyberpunk 2077 Save Data Could Be Corrupted on ALL PLATFORMS If File Size Is Too Large
Uhm... if it were intended there would at least be an in-game warning or a hard cap on what you can craft, it wouldn't just corrupt the game file out of nowhere. Plus i don't see why they would want this.
I mean... I doubt it goes any further than that.
Management: make a huge, gigantic game the likes of which has never been seen!
Developers: ok, I'll go and...
Management: I need it on my desk by noon

At this point, would it really kill to have a post-mortem to figure out what went wrong and where? I mean, other than the obvious crunch and employees not having time to finish the game because management wanted to rush this game out.

Sauron got a reaction from ascendings in Will you be switching from CentOS to Rocky Linux?
That it's less stable is only conjecture, I don't think anyone has comprehensive data on that. It's not always true that newer = unstable. It just gets RHEL packages a little earlier than RHEL - and you can just hold on to your updates until they're validated to your liking.

Sauron got a reaction from kelvinhall05 in What filesystem should I use when installing Linux to a USB stick?
Oh dear no, Linux can't be installed on either of those...
@Drama Lamajust use ext4 or whatever else is the default for the distribution you want to use

Sauron reacted to igormp in The full amps - RTX A6000 now Available
It's a blower card, it gets airflow through the front and expels it at the back. That's why blowers are better than open-air for multi-gpu configs.

Sauron reacted to Master Disaster in Cyberpunk 2077 Removed from the PlayStation Store (and Microsoft's Also Offering Refunds for It, Too!)
Seems like CDPR asked them to pull it.

Sauron got a reaction from Mark Kaine in CDPR admit they have no special deal in place with retailers for Cyberpunk refunds
It hasn't been that long since the time we didn't even have that on pc... the state of refunds on digital goods is disgraceful across the industry.
And of course it is - every company in the market has been pushing preorders and premium editions for over a decade, they rely on people making uninformed purchases of broken games. This isn't new to cyberpunk.
I'm sorry, CDPR doesn't get to act like it was their customers' fault for doing the thing they told them to do. What, they pushed out the game and ran preorders for it for months so you could not buy it? Give me a break. This is the same lazy responsibility dodging we see from every other publisher.
Of course as a customer you should be careful but that's only because companies like CDPR routinely try to take advantage of you - the victim is not to be blamed. Unless, that is, you spent the last few months shutting down anyone daring to express doubt regarding this game or criticizing CDPR for the vicious treatment of their employees: anyone fitting that description deserves exactly the disappointment they got and more.
