if you want to use integrated graphics you should pay the extra 10 bucks for a 9900k over the 3800x

I doubt there is a difference in performance between the 3700x and 3800x worth 60 CAD. Maybe there is, someone else can disagree here if they think so.

Been using the Quest 2 since November and I've loved it. I haven't run into any issues with the multiple steam games I've played and its been a pretty enjoyable experience. Only reason I wouldn't see someone getting it, is if they didn't want a FB account. There are rumors of a Quest 3 but apparently thats not expected until sometime in 2022.

1333 x2 = 2666... DDR stands for Double Data Rate.. so your RAM is 1333mhz, but its doubled to give you the 2666. Normal.

Google Pixel 4a all the way. Checks all basically all the boxes, it's $350 for the 128Gb storage model, a great camera, I end the day with 60% and have screen-on time around 5-6 hours a day, it's (I think) a 6 inch screen, and it still has a headphone jack. It does technically have an amplified earpiece, so stereo speakers are technically checked, but it doesn't work that well. Otherwise, for the price, you really cannot go wrong, especially since Google updates their phones quickly and has promised at least 3 years of security updates and 2 years of feature updates.

This right here is probably one of your best options for running code 24/7. Raspberry Pi's have a bunch of different models and options and are great for most coding needs.

RAM555789 got a reaction from ninjaboyxd629 in is this good enough to run high demanding games on medium settings 1080p?
You'll get a slightly better experience like 40-45fps on low if you have the 6GB version. Honestly you really want at least a 1660S for the best possible experience in Cyberpunk. In older games that still run on DX11 though you should get a better decent performance boost over the GTX 960 no matter if you get the 3GB or 6GB version of the 1060. Just don't expect the greatest experience out of Cyberpunk unless you can afford a pretty beefy GPU.

Nah man that GTX 960 is gonna be holding you back. You need a better GPU than that. Cyberpunk will be GPU bound for sure and will run at like 30fps or possibly lower depending on what's going on during the scene. If your strapped for cash trying to pick up something nice on Ebay is a pretty good option. 2 years ago I managed to snag a 1070 for $200

RAM555789 got a reaction from The Not so Brave Sir Robin in HP Omen Gaming laptop advice.
Laptops normally run HOT. All your parts are packed close together so it makes it hard to vent heat. It pretty normal even in a gaming laptop to see temperatures get up into the 90C range. Your CPU you will notice has an H at the end that indicates its a laptop type CPU and has limitations that run it at a lower clock speed and less power than a comparable desktop CPU to reduce the heat. Your CPU will also start to thermal throttle when you get up into the 90C range so you may notice some performance loss as well.
The thermal jumps you see are likely a result of some background windows process momentarily using your CPU to do something causing it to start using more power for a moment hence the sudden spike in temps.

RAM555789 reacted to LpoolTech in Video editing, new PC or Mac?
The answer really depends on the software you will decide to use and not only for video editing, if you want to game or need to use some other specialized software on PC then go with PC it will more powerful but if you just want to do video/photo editing then I would go with Mac specifically the new mac mini m1 or the new macbook pro m1(same spec but has a screen and more expensive). I think Final cut is better then vegas. It's better optimized you will also save a lot of money (surprisingly, especially if you go with mac mini keep your current displays). I would watch some recent reviews of the apple m1 machines and how good they are with final cut, maybe some guides on how to use it, then compare to vegas and make your choice

RAM555789 got a reaction from brob in Video editing, new PC or Mac?
I mean this makes it easier and more sense to build a PC. Honestly the only reason I would get a Mac over PC is if I felt the software I would get would make my life easier or more productive than a PC.

RAM555789 got a reaction from BTGbullseye in Can I use an external power supply temporarily?
One you really already answered your question and 2 80+ gold doesn't mean its a good power supply. If anything I would look up reviews and see if others have been successful but I personally would avoid it and wait.
