Can a Canadian company make a good streaming service product? We checked out the StreamLocator to see if it's any good for unblocking Netflix and giving you cheaper access to your favorite sportsball games, no matter where you might live.

RAM555789 reacted to Electronics Wizardy in How To Combine 2 ISPs For Free?
Basically all advanced routers let you do this, like pfsense, opnsense, untangle, sonicwall, fortinet. And many of those have free versions.

But unless your bonding(where you need anouther server), or your service supports multipath, your limited to the speed of one isp at a time.

Well it doesn't have a video encoder, so it can't help you with encoding.

Its so old its basically useless these days, Id just use your amd gpu for everything.

Id probably use quicksync as the encoder if you don't want to use cpu as it should be better than the amd encoder.

    Welcome to the forums!
I recommend getting a cheap AMD card (such as HD 6450) that can be found on ebay for under $20 to drive your 2nd monitors, the nvidia and amd card in the same PC can cause big driver conflicts.

For that price range, 10400F would be better.

You should be able to add RAM to help out with Minecraft, and if your short on storage you could swap out the SSD for a bigger one but beyond that at the budget you got, theres not much you could do.

Check your CPU temps and load when playing these games. If the problem started after you got the Ryzen CPU then its much more likely to be the problem then the GPU.

I did, however they don't line up well, and are going to render off to be waste of money. I feel that should be a voice of concern that is heard.

They do work, and PCPP will tell you that.

Yeah don't get spinning disks, if you need drives that are 2TB for some reason start of with a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive and upgrade in the future when it fills up.

Why do you need a Crosshair 8?

Why don't you put more money into solid state storage and get away from spinning disks?

I know you said to not mind the monitors, but do you really need TWO high refresh rate displays?

Since you didn't mention it, how are your system temps? Maybe just the thermal paste getting old on the 1080?

RAM555789 reacted to Middcore in New pc build ! need help with cpu issue
4.4ghz is the maximum turbo frequency for a single core, which the CPU will boost to on its own, depending on workload. In reality the only time you're likely to actually see any single core hit 4.4ghz would be in a benchmark like the single-thread portion of Cinebench.

Again, the 9500 is not an unlocked CPU, and you aren't going to have the ability to change the single-core or all-core turbo frequencies.

Some Samsung sticks use "dual" in their name, hence why I didn't assume.

SSDs will load programs faster and for the most part, won't have a huge impact on most games. Only game I've actually noticed a significant difference was Escape from Tarkov.

Knowing the generation is pretty important, as a CPU upgrade may or may not be needed, however your GPU is defiantly in need of an upgrade.

Take it off. Its not worth it to bet on it being stable, get an actual replacement cable designed for it. PSU cables are not meant to be interchangeable even between series.

    Welcome to LTT!
Seems like a quite decent build that will be usable for a while. As 1st comment said, you did overpay a lil bit for your GPU but nothing major. The only thing I would recommend is adding a 2 or 4tb hdd in addition to the SSD, because you may find in the future that 500gb isn't enough.

Just based on the price, you might have overpayed a bit for the GPU, but nothing seems that wrong.

Get a 5600g, then spend your money on a good power supply.
Running a 3070 with a 60$ power supply is dangerous.

RAM555789 reacted to HeroRareheart in Cannot initialize hard drive
I'm uncertain how to help you in this exact scenario but a good troubleshooting step here would be to put that drive into another computer and see if it functions as normal. If not I'd assume you have a bad drive, if it does function normally however try a different physical connection on the server, EG a different PATA/SATA/SAS port on the board or a different bay if you server has those hot swap rack things on the front I don't know the name of.
