You know a corporation is too big when only the influence of that corp can cause a government to waiver.

Yes, I know link tax is bad. But the precedent this is setting is also not good.

Too bad the current manufacturers also hold the patents for their designs, which makes the barrier of entry for new entrants pretty fucking high.

PocketNerd reacted to Mateyyy in [Updated #1][Rumour] Intel and NVIDIA had an internal agreement that blocked the development of laptops with AMD Renoir and GeForce RTX 2070 and above
I mean, it's not like you could find a whole lot of Renoir laptops in the first place.

On a more serious note though, I'd definitely hold off on pulling out the pitchforks until this becomes something more than what's essentially just a baseless allegation by the looks of things. Not that the vast majority of AMD's fanbase will care about that, mind you.

I also can't really see why Nvidia would turn against AMD's CPU department (which is very much not the same thing as Radeon). Off the top of my head, they've had various promos with their GPUs in AMD powered systems even recently. In fact, Intel entering the GPU market would only make things worse per se, since they're becoming another competitor to Nvidia.

You know you're not cut out for IT jobs when...

Seriously, we had someone try and train for a repair tech position not too long ago and it was 100% clear the person just was not into it. Didn't even finish training.

I have a coworker who is getting tutored on Windows machines, because he's never used anything but Apple. He claims to know how to use Linux.

He's allegedly getting a cybersecurity degree, and when asked what programming languages he has worked with, he answered Ubuntu, Debian, and CMD.exe

    Apple users.
