  1. Oooooh wait, you are THE jonnyGURU who went to work at Corsair? The one and only, who managed the PSU website with the same name? I knew your name was familiar, im, 31, but just recently started actually using the LTT forums. Long time lurker. But to reply to what you just said: These stories are crazy, but i can completely understand human stupidity, i work as an EMT You put my mind to ease. I dont worry about amazon, since i did not order from them, i bought it from a local tech-webshop. Thank you, i am impatiently waiting for my White Pr
  2. Oh... Not trying to be a dick or anything, but where can you see that they purchased them for other brand PSUs?
  3. So i bought the HX1200 Platinum, and after some research, i bought the mentioned full PRO Kit Type 4, since multiple sources confirm that this PSU is type 4. The PSU arrived a few days ago, and tested it out, new pc boots up fine with the default cables. Cable kit is still en route. BUT... I started reading around the cables, and found a few worrying reviews on amazon, saying that these pro kits fried some components of peoples PC's. Someone even claims that on a cable he got, there are 2 wires reversed and couldve fried his GPU...? There are some really worrysome reviews
  4. Airflow has way better temps. I was eyeing the 5000X, but went with the 5000D Airflow white, it looks good either way. If you want better temps, go for the airflow. Watch gamersnexus' video about it. It shows how better is the airflow variant.
  5. I can wholeheartedly recommend ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VIII DARK HERO. (my current board) It should be an overkill, and current gen CPUs dont really have that much OC potential since they boost greatly to their highest clock. You can press out maybe 100-200mhz (this is just my experience) from current gen CPUs, either from intel or amd. But the Dark Hero is a total overkill. Any cheaper X570 board could do the trick. For example X570 PRIME PRO.
  6. Finally the Commander Pro arrived, i hooked up all 10 ML 120 fans to it, with Noctua Y splitters. 2 fans for each header (just to be safe and not overtax each connector), so 5 headers each. Hooked it up to my current PC, not the new one since i am still waiting for the 6900XT, and it works flawlessly with iCUE. It recognizes 5 fans on the headers, so i can control 2-2 fans with each header. I just set it up to the highest RPM that i cant hear, which is 1300 RPM, and they do their job without a problem. I can control each 2 fans separately, so job is done. Thanks g
  7. Everything but the GPU arrived, and i already had some fun with the case and fans (i couldn't wait) I will now test out everything i can, update to the lates bios, etc.
  8. Fair enough, i will try out a Commander, i can always take it back if it does not work. Thanks
  9. 2 different opinions. I am leaning towards Commander since it would be at my fingertips when i feel it, but not buying an unnecessary thing is always good. Any pro / contra about the commander and motherboard solution?
  10. So i am in the process of building my new rig and the fans came in, and tried them all out to see if they work. I plugged them on one by one, and i think they defaulted to max rpm on my X470 PRIME PRO. Was wondering if i could buy a commander pro, use a few splitters (2 fans for each commander header, just to be well within the 1A limit) and control them all with iCUE. On the Corsair page https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Fans/ml-pro-led-config/p/CO-9050041-WW#tab-tech-specs it says, iCUE compatibility - NO. Would the 10 fans - 1 commander
  11. Parts are arriving slowly from the different webshops and distributors. PSU, RAM and GPU still on its way. The case has a 6 way PWM repeater but i have 10 fans. I would like to be able to control them somehow either in windows, or with iCUE. Should i buy 2x Commander Pro's and put them on those or..?
  12. Already saw that reddit thread, it explains nothing sadly. Does the lower SPD latency mean anything?
  13. So i am in the process of deciding on a 32GB RAM KIT and narrowed it down a bit. The ASUS X570 Dark Hero is daisy chained so i threw out the idea of the Corsair LPX 4 x 8GB 3600mhz CL16. I like Corsair kits, and since my build is hugely Corsair parts, i would like to buy memory from them too. I found 2 Corsair Vengeance LPX modules that are purchasable here in hungary that are 2x16GB 3600mhz CL18 (not CL16, but oh well, should be fine in general, i might play with the timings) : - CORSAIR 32GB Vengeance LPX DDR4 3600MHz CL18 KIT CMK32GX4M2D3600C18 - CO
