  1. This is really exciting. It will most likely be introduced in tomorrow's E3 keynote. I would guess prices to be around $650-$700 https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-ryzen-9-3950x-to-become-worlds-first-16-core-gaming-cpu
  2. @CableMod Thanks. For the lengths, are they the same as the stock cables that come with the PSU?
  3. I mainly wanted the Corsair PSU because of the included magnetic labels. It's a simple thing, but attracted me towards it
  4. If you are not familiar with my current setup already, feel free to check it out here The new Ryzen 3000 CPUs have me really excited, so much so that I am planning to finally get a new build. CPUs in the last decade or so really haven't been exciting, which is why I put off upgrading for so long, but I think it's now time I am planning to spend $4k-$5k including a new 1440p Gsync monitor and keyboard. I wouldn't mind going over that budget if needed. This PC will be used for 60% gaming and streaming, 20% dev work, 20% video editing I am trying to do grey /
  5. I am confused about what you are confused about. My original post still has pictures, and doesn't appear broken to me. What's the issue here?
  6. When are 400 series motherboards coming out? I would assume Q3 2019, since Z390 just came out?
  7. So I am planning to do a build soon. I am planning to go with a black and white theme. I will get custom cables from from Cablemod to fit my theme. I think I will get a graphics card with white shroude as well. Following are the parts I am planning on getting: i9 9900k RTX 2080Ti ASUS Maximus Code Z390 970 Pro 1TB My first question is, do you guys think this motherboard will look good in a black and white build? Also, what case do you think will my fit my theme with this motherboard?
  8. This is actually a pretty neat setup. Did you build those speakers yourself?
  9. Haha thanks! Good to see someone appreciating my ancient set up
  10. It does what I need it to do. 1080p gaming is not too shabby but it's really starting to show its age. I am using this PC mostly as a media server now though and not much else. I do game on it once in a while but nothing too intensive. Will probably upgrade sometime next year
  11. It's the Ikea Galant desk. Sadly, Ikea doesn't manufacture this desk anymore. Look into their new Bekant line of desks. They are a pretty good alternative to the Galant.
  12. It's an Ikea Galant desk. Sadly Ikea doesn't make this desk anymore. The alternative is not too bad though http://m.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/spr/59022528/ http://m.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/spr/49022492/
  13. Lol, I don't post much but I do lurk around these forums quite a bit
  14. Do you mean the part about Skylake-E, 1080Ti and Xpoint launching in 2017?
  15. The NDA is probably set to lift in the morning sometime, but they accidentally released the review a few hours too early
  16. WCCFTech seemed to have accidentally released this review a few hours before the NDA actually lifts. The link to their site doesn't work yet obviously but the following is a capture of the full review. Enjoy! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CNjtiYzX6biMXaw_1cvsb09DZ-sauNm1vUxiikFwjyQ/edit?usp=sharing
  17. Badblocks by default won't work on large drives. To work around that, you have to increase the block size. Try adding -b 4096 to that command. badblocks -b 4096 -wvs /dev/sdb
  18. I am not too familiar with TM, but I will be happy to answer any questions that you have about True Image.
  19. Acronis True Image is my software of choice for backup.
  20. I made a thread about stress testing drives a while back. You can run the badblocks command in parted magic to do a thorough stress test. The command for doing a destructive read/write test on a new (or blank) drive with no data on (for example) is: badblocks -wvs /dev/sdb
  21. I still have them and they are still going strong. Also, please don't quote images
  22. Lol I am not sure if I know what you mean exactly. What did I do to the headset that was so impressive? Thanks anyways though
