MakeMKV for sure. Also install the Java runtime and configure MakeMKV settings to point to it. With Java installed it will automatically find the correct stream to Rip on Blu-rays that have 100+ streams.

@TVwazhere Thanks for the answer! The mazterbox 3.1 was one of my 1st choice and I would have gone with it in a few minute, but the shipping cost are about 20$( I think it is ridiculously overpriced) so it makes a case of about 70$ and at this price, I think the can be better alternative on the market (at 50$ with 0$ shipping, it would be an amazing deal and this topic wouldn't exist, edit : btw I think it is at 50-55$ on amazon with free shiping (prime) but they don't have it in stock it says usually shipped in 1 to 3 month, I don't know if I could wait that long). Fractal design mini C seems a great case from a great company, but I really want that side panel window, otherwise I find it boring laying on my desk. The side window version is a bit too pricy for me and I have better alternative cheaper than that. For the fractal design focus g mini, I don'tknow much about this case, I'll check it out. Thanks again !

@Phate.exe Thanks again for your answer ! My GPU is a dual fan card, not that big, so I 5hink this would work in this case, now I'll look if the price could drop a bit maybe I would go for this one since this fit well my red and black theme!

@Patrick3D thanks for your answer, very informative about that case, from what I heard now it is not in my first choices anymore, but your info will make me take a better decision, thanks again.

It's crazy expensive. Their are cheaper domestic models, just search for "Rotating waffle maker". They don't have the egg design on the grills though.

Patrick3D got a reaction from Jon Jon in Did vega flop
Are there any 1070's available for under $399? No, then Vega did not flop and will secure a share of the market that is price sensitive and just wants a card that comes close to the 1070 without needing to surpass it. As an AMD fanboy, that's my basic philosophy towards all AMD products, if it's affordable and close to the target that's all that matters. I don't need the fastest of anything. If I ever win the lotto then my philosophy would change.

Patrick3D got a reaction from Kryptonite79 in What mATX should I get ?
I use the Thermaltake Core V21 myself, you can get it cheaper on Amazon with free shipping. One of the big upsides to the V21 is it can be reconfigured for several different orientations. Depending on where the case will sit, you can orient the motherboard to face you or stick with the default horizontal configuration. The front of the case can also be rotated so the USB ports are on the left, top, or right side. The only downside is I think this case is being discontinued for the X-series.

Patrick3D reacted to sanfilippo12 in Best <$100 mATX mini case with decent cable management and airflow?
I plan on making my first build this Christmas.
The case I plan on using is the Thermaltake Core V21.  I love the way this case looks.  It works with mITX and mATX.

Airflow should be no problem, as it is essentially open on every side of the case (minus the windowed side) and has magnetic dust filters on every side. It also has a huge 200 mm intake fan on the front. Cable management also shouldn't be a problem if you orientate the case so MOBO is vertical.

Like I said, I plan on building with this case this December, so I've done a lot of research.

I ordered this a couple days ago and just received it, and I must say this thing ROCKS! I put in a Monster LeMans SSD I had laying around and put all of my ISOs on it and I can confirm that it boots from the ISOs as though they were inserted into an external disk drive! it also will recognize as an optical drive and external hard drive simultaneously when booted into the OS. You can also set it to ODD only mode so that you dont accidentally format the drive when installing windows on a system.

I give it two big fat thumbs up! THANKS!

Patrick3D reacted to Glenwing in Does anyone know of a cable like this?
No, and even if you managed to find one, the ground pin would be only decorative. There are only two pins on the C7 connector, it does not have a ground pin, so there is no place for a ground pin on the AC side to be connected to. That type of plug is an ungrounded connection by design.

You would only have a ground pin if the device used the C5 connector, which is the grounded version of the C7.

Patrick3D got a reaction from likwidsolutions in A friend of mine asked me to build her a (nongaming) comp. for best price, could use some advice on parts.
Intel Pentium G4560 as suggested would be the best choice for something low-cost, the integrated graphics are fine for 1080P workstation use, including watching movies and Youtube, etc... Just make sure to use an SSD for the main drive. If she doesn't have much data, going with a larger SSD would be better than the usual SSD+HDD pair most people do. Don't bother with any of AMD's old APU's, although some of them cost less they do not have anywhere near the performance of the Pentium G4560. The new APU's won't be out anytime soon.

I think this sounds like a good compromise. Thing is, I have extra SSDs, and at the close Microcenter they have a bunch of clearance boards (usually older gen or returns but in tact). Heck I found a Z97 one time just recently but didn't buy it. I think an SSHD would do though, as I have a 1TB one unused. so that helps too. Thanks for all the suggestions to anyone in the topic, although keep adding advice if you want, but just thinking about it now doesn't sound as hard to keep costs down as I thought (just used to building ~1k builds give or take so I just didn't know off the cuff.
