    I turn to you once again in a time of need. My computer wont start at all the power button does nothing. Kinda. When i went to turn on my pc this morning nothing happened. I've tried clearing the cmos and using the bios flashback on the motherboard. I've also tried with no ram and 1-4 sticks of ram. The only time it starts is when i click the clear cmos button which takes me straight into the bios. If i save changes and exit the power button does nothing again. Does anyone have any ideas? The model of the motherboard is the B550 taichi and my cpu is the 3600x

    Thanks in advance

    Edit: I've also tried a different PSU

    TheEpicDuck reacted to TetraSky in Weird problem and ISP can't identify
    Considering you mention it happening on other computers, wired or wireless, that you're are plugged directly into the modem/router combo via Ethernet and it is still happening... Meaning even if you were to get an external router, it would still happen.
    Likely something to do with the modem itself for some reason and they can't find out what is causing it.

    I would honestly demand they send you a new one, just to test it out and if it still fails or they outright refuse to help you, you can threaten to switch ISP. Because if it's happening network wide in your home, the issue isn't you. It's them.

    It's a capacitor. You can solder a new one on yourself but it can be difficult. Most repair shops should be able to do it.

    It'd be rather hard to get a $300 PC to play much of any modern titles well. Look into used parts and deals

    I have the Sennheiser Game Zero headset and the Creative Soundblaster Z. And i really like the sound. so thats's the route i would go. I'm done with USB Gaming headsets. especially the Razer kraken.

    Yup I have one.

    They are inexpensive compared to other models, so you kinda get what you pay for. The USB ports are unreliable, so plan on using a USB hub. Also, the 40mm fan that comes in the power supply was started making a VERY LOUD and annoying noise after a little while and I had to replace it with an aftermarket model. After replacing that fan (which requires you to disasemble the PSU to some extent) it got a lot better.

    The 1080 that comes in there is very quite though, and its still a standard card, so I just ended up taking it out of the enclosure and putting it in my desktop.

    TheEpicDuck reacted to minibois in How to install ssd
    HDD = 3.5" (usually)
    SSD = 2.5"
    You mentioned both SSD and 3.5", so here is a screenshot from the manual showing how to install either:
    HDD: Bottom of the case, towards the front. There are cages, where you will screw the HDD in.
    SSD: Front of the case, there are places to screw it in

    and  " In a surprising turn of events, it appears that Nvidia has quietly switched on DirectX 12 support for GTX 500 and GTX 400-series graphics cards as part of the latest GeForce drivers. Last week, Nvidia started rolling out driver version 384.76 to users and while the headlining feature at the time was optimisation for the Lawbreakers beta, DX12 support for Fermi-based GPUs has also been discovered."

    As long as you dont touch the heatpipes it would be fine. also in that case you can cut a hole in the front and have the gpu behind the front panel. if you want to cut the GPU you will need to cut it not sand it.
