  1. I've gone back to my old build which I had to reinstall Windows. Tbh it runs a lot faster now so I don't mind waiting. Not desperate for a new PC so I'll just wait. Thanks!
  2. Sorry I should have mentioned that I have already sent the build back and awaiting refund. Just want to see what the general feeling is on buying again. Should I just wait for a permanent fix? Don't feel like risking it again
  3. Hi, I ordered a pre-build in the last month as for the first time I have seen, I could get it cheaper than buying parts separately. (Parts Below) I had no issues with PC Specialist however when I turned it on it took 2 minutes to get any video signal and the MB kept saying there was a VGA problem every time I restarted. I did all the usual troubleshooting. Also I wanted to reinstall windows onto the M2 I bought separately but when I had the Windows USB plugged in, the power kept going on and off. Also because the VGA problem, I couldn't access the BIOS as I would see nothing

  5. Thanks everyone! Do these instructions linked below work? Seems straightforward if so: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-transfer-windows-10-license-new-computer-or-hard-drive
  6. I'm waiting to get all my new parts for a new PC I'm building but this is the first time where I'm having to move old hardware as well as the OS. I have a fully licenced Windows 10 on my 2.5" SSD in my current rig. In my new PC I am getting a M.2 drive so I would like to install Windows on that. My question is what is the best way to move Windows over to the new PC? I still have the Windows USB I installed with the first time. I'm actually wanting to do a clean install so what steps do I need to take to do this? Can I simply just plug the USB in the ne
  7. I've told him that before but he's never played on PC and doesn't want to take the leap. How much do you reckon is a fair price to sell him it? Hopefully it makes him get into PC gaming
  8. Hi, Just kind of getting an idea of my budget and looking to sell my current build. My friend has been streaming the last few months but directly off his PS4 and he's looking to get a PC to stream with. He has no desire to play PC games. Is my current PC good enough for him to stream at like 1080p 60FPS with an Elgato? Don't want to sell him it if it's not good enough but I thought it could easy if he's not actually playing and streaming at the same time. If it is good enough what do you reckon is a fair price to sell him it?
  9. In terms of my other questions: Do I need more RAM? Is my current PSU going to be enough? Is my case big enough?
  10. So does the B550 have PCIe 4? I know the 3080 will support that so guessing it's best to have it to get the best out of it. Think I will wait for the 4000 series and if it turns out that it's not the biggest bump at least the 3000 series will be cheaper. thanks
  11. Not called TheTechWizard for nothing. Nothing gets past him!
  12. I'm not buying until Zen 3 comes out anyway probably to see the real performance of the 3080 so will keep an eye out for Zen 3 performance as well then instead of getting Zen 2. Good point about the storage! Will probably keep it as long. Thanks
  13. Before all the details, very quickly. Have a build from 2016 (keep that in mind for the parts below) handles most of what I need however not getting the 1440p 144Hz that I would like, to make use of my monitor. My lack of expertise thinks I can reuse RAM, PSU & case comfortably but not 100% sure. I've made a partpicker with what a week of research makes me think is a good build for the fantastic year that is 2020. Ideally want 1080-1440p 144Hz for competitive and 4k60 for single player. Budget (including currency): £1000 - £2000 Country: UK Games, programs or workload
  14. Been looking to stop being so frugal for a change and splash the cash on a monitor. The best one I’ve seen for my loose budget of £500 is the LG 27GL850-B. 4K gaming is not that important to me but I would like the bump up of resolution and refresh rate compared to my current monitor so 1440p 144hZ is a no brainer. So my question really is, does anyone have any experience with it? Anything that makes it a no go? I’d be using it for console gaming as well and I've saw some people say that the performance under 100Hz can be sporadic. Any help appreciated.

    LG 27GL850-B

I wonder if anyone can help? I'm so close to pulling the trigger on the LG 27GL850-B but I've saw a few reviews saying that it does not do well with console gaming as the refresh rate goes all over the place when it's below 100Hz. Is anyone able to confirm this and does this make it a hard no go for console gaming? I do have a decent PC and I know it will be a no brainer for PC gaming but I do play FPS games on the PS4 Pro. The PS5 is also due this year so if this allows higher refresh rate gaming on consoles will this monitor be then the best choice in anticipation of the PS5? Thi
