  1. Found this while someone was talking to me about VR. I too want to have VR but my PC is in my room with no space, and the room that does is over 50 feet away. Steam link doesn't support VR (at least not yet). I've only gotten the answer to set it up in a room that has space and move your PC basically to that room every time you wanna game. Unless you wanna try using active extension cables but even then they only go so far. Does anyone else know any other way to use non standalone vr in another room?
  2. Thank you for your responses! Hmm interesting so if I'm gaming and it is at 100% usage during games this is fine so long as it isn't causing me to drop frames? I guess I figure that the 1080ti should absorb relatively the things I throw at it without getting too hot/max out. My father 1080 never spun it's fans during the things I threw at it so I guess it was concerning that mine becomes a heater adding on to the Florida heat in my room lol
  3. Can't seem to find out why some games are getting maxed out GPU usage with my current build. A game such as star wars battlefront 2 is maxing out at around 95-100% usage on my GTX 1080ti. I monitor using rivatuner and will see CPU climb to high 80s - 90% during load times for some of the newer games like battlefront 2 COD; WWII. Graphics drivers are updated, all games are updated, bios is updated to latest version and I play at 1920x1080 at 60 FPS. (Only recently updated monitors to the higher resolution) I now play on one screen and have the second disabled but still plugged into the graphics
  4. I've seen in the past that it was unknown if 2011v3 sockets were going to still be used for the new upcoming CPU lines like Skylake-E but looking at how Intel is going now. Is Broadwell-E really going to be the last line of CPU for this socket? In order for me to upgrade am I and others with this socket going to have to move to a new motherboard/cpu socket?
  5. Anyone know if anything has changed or if there's gonna be a new CPU line for 2011v3?
  6. Another reason is some cases don't have fan screw holes; instead they have slits due to you being able to use various size fans (look at the photo below). With my case I can have three 120mm fans or two 140mm for the top and front mounts. I've tried using rubber grommets but for the front mounts the fans can slide on top of each other (possible adding vibration noise since now the fans are on top of each other).
  7. Does anyone know if you can control fans plugged into Asus fan extension card using SpeedFan? I don't seem to see it and yes you can set it up in the bios but I'm just trying to see if it's possible with SpeedFan or if you need their AISuite III to control fans connected to the extension card.
  8. Hmm that would make sense since it's the only game that runs on a single core; compared to the rest of my games. Thanks!
  9. Has anyone had a problem enabling Windows game mode with Garry Mod? I understand if Garry's Mod isn't resource intensive but I'd like to see if there any improvement at all with it on when I run the game.
  10. Thanks for your reply! I install my drivers via NVIDIA Geforce and I believe was able to disable windows from installing new drivers. I'll try reinstalling the drivers again and see if that fixes the issue.
  11. After updating to the Windows 10 Creators update Folding @ home will display an error every so often (mostly when PC idles). I know it's folding regardless when my PC is idling I'm just not sure how to stop the error message. I have the latest updates to the Folding @ Home program, and NVIDIA drivers. Yes I also reinstalled the F@H program.
  12. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E362W9O/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Grab one of those and try to pull the data off on another computer. What was wrong with your old build? If you can explain the problem with that; perhaps you could still boot it up and pull the data off to a usb, then start fresh on the new build.
  13. I managed to change the name but it wasn't easily convient.I was checking out a feature with the suite and saw I could swap the water pump name and it's position in the case.
  14. If you have Ccleaner there's a start up tab that shows more than the task manager does.
  15. I just tried it out and got it working. What are you using to change the name and speed? Bios or software? Thanks for your replies btw!
