The intercommunications between two CCX's definitely sounds like part of the easy IPC gains that they were talking about in the AMA. Whatever you might be gleaning from this, there's a lot that AMD could improve upon. Just like Intel with Nehalem. And honestly, given where Zen is now, having obvious and fixable bottlenecks makes me very optimistic for the future of Zen based chips.

We can all but hope. I don't think this'll be the case though, developers are increasingly dependent on money from companies like MS to budget their increasingly expensive games.

2kg is not 5lbs, it's 4.4 lbs. It's still a boat for a 13 inch laptop, but on the plus size it absolutely kills it in terms of thermals.

I thumbs-up'd just for the tumblrite outfit. The only way this could've been better is if Linus was whining about his triggers.

They can't. The reason why they can do this with Atom is that Atom is an extremely simple core with a lot to improve as it is. This isn't the same case with the desktop lineup where they already have gotten latencies as tight as possible as-is.

For stock, I'm expecting 3. But I imagine it would be pushable to 4ghz. That would be plenty fine for an Octa.

Yeah. Seriously. Linus is, like, heavily sponsored by nVidia anyways. Does that automatically make you not trust any of his nVidia vids?
