Am I missing something? Why do you have to leave the forum just because you're no longer representing the company? You can always make a new account

Ah yep, got the new version and it says B550. I ruled this out because I just downloaded HWMonitor, but I suppose they just don't have it fixed yet. So much for my conspiracy theory 😁

Only HWiNFO and Ryzen Master accurately report values on Zen. HW Monitor and CPU-Z are busted alongside many other applications and still have glitches and random bugs.

Yes - I'd go for a reflash to make sure all is OK with it.
Once done that hopefully will take care of it. If for some reason the flash fails and it indicates a bad sector/block on the chip then it's bad and nothing you can do except replace it.

There is a guy on fleabay that goes by "BIOS Depot" and you can get a new chip from him, preflashed with the most recent BIOS. You do have to tell him the exact specs of your board and be sure to have all that info available for him.

And...... If your chip isn't removable then it's time to send it off for repair.

What's wrong with this board? A lot of things. For one, I still don't have an answer on why @Fasauceome hasn't been banned yet, and--oh, wait, you mean your motherboard.

Which ASUS board is it? I've got some recent experience troubleshooting the H81M-C and H81I-PLUS.

It's possible to have a partially corrupt BIOS due to a weak CMOS battery in place. It's not been mentioned if the battery has ever been replaced or not so check that and look for voltage of at least 2.9v's or more.

A new battery has 3.0v's so if it's at or below 2.9v's you need to replace it or risk this happening. A weak battery can cause some weird stuff to happen as well, esp upon bootup of the system.
You can first, replace the battery and then do a reflash of the board to eliminate this as a possible cause. Only other thing related would be a bad BIOS chip and that's something you'd have to replace period or get the board serviced, depending on if the chip is removeable or not.

This is like 14th time my VGA cable does this shade. I changed 14 times just because of this shade. Even if I brought it gonna be shade again in few 2 to 3 months. Maybe it's time to change the monitor or buying DVI or HDMI to VGA adapter. By the way thanks for your reply, I'll try wiggling both end in VGA cable.

I've been playing a ton of Titanfall 2 the past few days, great if you like fast-paced shooters with cool mechanics. It was on sale on Origin for $3! Though unfortunately looks like the sale is over now. Also definitely not a small install (30 or 40 gigs I think) but still worth checking out.

Cases I've personally used [links in signature]:
    Coolermaster Q300L (RGB Build 2019)
Thermatlake Versa H18 TG (Blue Build 2018)

Cases I think are very good:
    Silverstone PS15
Silverstone RL08 (might not find this under $100 USD though)

Yeah, the Core V21 is probably in the lead for me right now, partly because it does have the option to mount the mobo horizontally.

Maybe try this? From microsoft forums:

If you are installing with USB drive, when it asks for driver, click Cancel. Once you are at the welcome screen, insert the USB drive to a different USB port. Then click Install Now to install. - worked perfect for me.

The big differences to the other monitors I have experience with / am considering for upgrade are the ribbon tweeter, class D amp and rear bass port.... Damnit man you're going to make me do actual research now.

Okay okay, now I have questions.

All the monitors I have experience with are class A/B, aside from the obvious power consumption benefits will the class D change anything noticeable?

I know a fair bit about how fragile ribbon mics can be, are ribbon tweeters the same? I'm sure they sound great and all but if I have to baby them it might not be the right choice for me.

Rear reflex port is a big one for me, the other upgrades I was considering moved the port to the front as do the higher-end Adam offerings, do you think it's a big deal? My ears are nowhere near as good as yours but muddy bass has been a (minor) challenge with the rear ported current set.

@Spork829I'm glad you like them! Your impressions are exactly what I expected from KZ:

    - A bit too much treble
    - Could use more mids
    - Bass is nice

Yep! You're using a KZ alright.

ADAM Audio stuff is great. The T5V are great for listening, then the T7V's are great for monitoring. I currently own 7 of the S5H for surround work and they're probably my favourite speakers other than my Aida's. Plenty loud, fairly flat frequency response, only gripe with them is the weight and size.

For under a $100 I'm a big fan of the moondrop starfields a nice pleasant Harman neutral ish sound more pleasant than most going for this sound signature. The tin t4 is pretty great as well it what o use but it's not for everyone as the bass can be too light the mods can be shouty but I love it because of a nice 8k dip which for my ears in particular love. If you want a very bassy iem the guideray gri is a nice pickup. And if you can find them on sale the ikko oh1 is also pretty great. Oops forgot I already replied to this one and congrats glad you like your new iem

Update! They just got here, and so far impressions are good. Comfortable even with the stock ear tips, and the sound is pretty much expected. I'm using an EQ to flatten things out the way I like, but I will say at stock it's not an incredibly pronounced V shape. The mids are a little lacking but do exist, and the treble is overly plentiful but not harsh. Bass seems good, though I always have a hard time noticing the difference between tight vs loose/muddy bass as others can.

Most importantly I can sit at my computer without getting those killer headaches anymore, so definitely a win even if I eventually swap these out. Thanks for all your help!
