It's because Linus doesn't understand that the Model Y he is comparing it to is basically a $30,000 car with add-ons. The model Y like the 3 has a different suspension system to the S and X which start around Porsches starting prices, so comparing either a 3 or a Y to a Porsche is like comparing a Grand Caravan to a Porsche, one can do it, but one really shouldn't. The 3/Y might get a upgrade eventually, but the word eventually means his doesn't have it.

Linus also doesn't understand Porsche takes pride into their suspension and track tech whereas someone like Tesla doesn't really care, as long as it works on the road and isn't the worst suspension ever it's good enough, which really is all 99% of the people need anyways. Oh FYI go to page 1 and watch the Model Y Performance video, you don't need a S to out preform the 4s lol.

But why?? That's so stupid to have the dc to dc converter on the motherboard! Power supplies are very functional and long lasting as they are right now, no need to change them. What benefit would a 12V only PSU bring? Yes except for the very minimal power savings which won't happen because I'm betting the conversion circuit on the mobo will be of much less quality than that of a high quality psu. It doesn't save space on the motherboard, on the contrary. The connectors are as big as the old ones and the 12V to 5 and 3V3 converter circuit is added and wastes a lot of space...

7:20 I don't believe this is correct that the battery SOC window (buffer) increases as the pack degrades. It is absolutely wrong for a 1st generation Volt (2011-2015) and it is unlikely for 2016-2019 model years.
You can read the voltage of the battery pack with an OBD2 dongle and the MyGreenVolt app for Android. 335V when discharged (when engine will start to come on), 385V when done charging, which equates to roughly 20% to 85% SOC window. For 2016+ Volts it is a bit different. My 2013 Volt has had the exact same voltage ranges at 133K miles as it does with 200K miles on the Odometer now. You can use the MyVoltCapacity app to read how much capacity remains in the traction battery so you can see degradation level. Mine is at about 85% of original.   Air conditioning on Eco just limits the fan speed, it doesn't limit compressor RPM or temperature targets. So u can just leave it in Comfort mode and just be responsible for the fan speed. When heating tho, it's a different story.    10:10, the seatbelt reminder on passenger seat is a common issue. Just keep the seatbelt connected all the time, no more dings.   Love my car, fits me like a glove. Mine has standalone navigation but GM stopped HereMaps from developing any map updates past 5 years from the date the car was manufactured ugh.
By the way there are a lot of fans of this car. Hence how apps have been developed for it. There r custom magnetic phone mounts you can get for it. Also a custom mattress so you can sleep in the back, like is for Teslas too. https://voltshelf.weebly.com/chevy-volt.html

My step dad still has the old Danger Den shop computer (he was one of the founders). It's fully water-cooled (CPU's, north bridge, south bridge, and GPU). It only has 4gb or RAM in it but you can play the HELL out of windows desktop experience (win7 at least). Just joined the forms to see if LTT wants it. If anyone can make sure the the LTT crew see this, that would be awesome. Thanks everyone and have an awesome day!

Anyone able to clear something up?  I sent Linus this exact board, 2x QX9775 CPU's and some FB-Dimms from the UK @LinusTech

Is this my board being used here as the box looks like the one I sent across or is this @Overl0rd's equipment?  Trying to figure out what has gone on here?  Top job for Overlord if he did send another board, cpu's etc but I don't get where the board and equipment I sent has gone....?

Anyone from Linus Media Group able to clarify whats going on here?  Just wanna know if the stuff I sent was working etc

Dave Lee also posts his preview, with Cinebench R20 single core performance. In which the Tigerlake scores 576. Yes 576, which is even higher than 10900k at 5.3GHz can manage. I find it hard to believe. But is is what it is. We will see when Tiger Lake lands in real laptops, not just engineering sample.

I know they went into detail talking about what the pre-validated bin of the 9900K was but did they mention what clockspeeds the 3950x was set at? I don't remember hearing that and that is kind of relevant information. As many have asked, was PBO enabled? Was there any overclocking done on the 3950x? Just trying to make sense of the information provided.

Transmission in regular cars is there because Internal Combustion Engines have severe HP/torque curves.  Just watch these videos.

I don't think the problem is that bad.  Yes it isn't as stable as 4 wheels, but with two wheels at the front that far a part you have to turn rather very sharp corner at very high speed (relative to weight) in order for inertia to lift the vehicle over the front wheel.  The further apart those wheels the safer it is.   I am maintaining 2 and building 1 racing trikes for my sons school team.  They have the same wheel arrangement and the only reason they tip (if they do) is because the front wheels are only 600mm apart when the vehicle is 2 - 2.6 metres long (put jimmy big bones in the seat and you don't need much sideways inertia to tip him over).
