Mo5 got a reaction from Isaac Brumby in Run NFS Underground 2 in HD
We've been begging EA for a HD remake of the excellent NFS Underground 2 (which is 10 years old now) for a long time. It hasn't happened yet, but thanks to the gaming community we CAN do it. Before you start your game must be patched to 1.2 and it must be a cracked exe.

    Step 1:
    Download UniWS - http://www.wsgf.org/article/universal-widescreen-uniws-patcher

    Step 2:
Patch your cracked exe - it's as simple as selecting a game from the drop down menu, selecting the game installation folder, set the new screen resolution and clicking patch

    Step 3:
Launch the game and set the resolution to 640x480. While you're there max out all the other graphical settings.

    Step 4:
    Download the TexMod v2 - http://www13.zippyshare.com/v/47157499/file.html

    Step 5:
    Extract it and run "texmod.exe"

    Step 6:
Under target application select the Speed2.exe (which should now be patched) and under Package mode click the folder icon button click browse and select the *.tpf that came in the same folder

    Step 7:
Click Run and wait for the game to launch. Don't worry if you see a black screen for a bit, that's normal.

    Enjoy!

Also since your mobo has it, check the debug code. Might give you an idea where it gets stuck.

    1. you probably didn't set it to the right speed in bios (activate the XMP profile)
    2. CPU-Z reports speed half of what they're rated because DDR = DOUBLE data rate

first thing I'd do is reseat the RAM and GPU and reconnect power connectors. Then do a memtest. Then work from there trying to eliminating other possibilities (CPU, GPU). If those turn out fine then it could actually be the mobo or the psu.

generally I do windows and key apps on SSD then do documents/pictures/downloads/other big crap like steam games on the mech drive. That also means you don't have to shuffle around your data when you reformat the ssd as all your stuff is already on the other drive.

Edit: this presumes you have a small SSD and a big HDD

It's definitely good enough to get you started in photography. Nothing too crazy by modern standards though (it is like 10 years old at this point). I don't think Sony uses that mount anymore so if you decide to upgrade you'll need to start over with your lens collection but that also means you can go to any brand you want in the future.
But definitely master this one before you move on. Maybe pick up a 35mm for it if you can/if it's cheap enough but don't overspend on it.
