Zagna got a reaction from FenrirLF in Is it safe to Format or delete files/programs from an M2 NVME drive?
For the average person, wearing out an SSD with any kind of normal usage takes at least a decade if not multiple.
My 256GB NVMe drive that has been the main OS drive, is still at 80%+ life after little over 4 years. So 20 year lifespan easy.

Zagna got a reaction from Kilrah in Broken DisplayPort w/ Integrated Graphics, but HDMI Works
That's a DisplayPort IN connector.
It's so that you can plug a DisplayPort signal from a discrete GPU for then it to be routed through Thunderbolt.
Look at page 21 & 22 in the manual.

Zagna got a reaction from Kilrah in Using the extra 4x pcie lanes on 3rd gen Ryzen
All Ryzen CPUs have 24 PCIe lanes.
16 for GPU in either 16x or 8x/8x 4 for NVMe (or 2 SATA) 4 for chipset connection So you're already using all 24 lanes.

B450 Aorus Elite has an S/PDIF Out header so you could use it with a bracket like that.
Look up SPDIF bracket on Newegg or eBay.

Zagna got a reaction from smerkderk in USB-C Display Questions
AFAIK, only AM4 motherboards with Thunderbolt 3 are ASRock X570 Creator and X570 Phantom Gaming-ITX/TB3.
And with both of them, you need a GPU connected to the DisplayPort In connector for the Thunderbolt to have a display connectivity.
It doesn't use the iGPU for Thunderbolt.
