  2. The main purpose of vaccination is that the body will now quickly ramp up production of antibodies that will neutralize the virus in a matter of few hours instead of weeks with natural infection. Of course, severely immunocompromised people such as those with AIDS, chemo/radiation patients, and other severe comorbidities would have a slower immune response despite getting vaccinated but it will still offer some protection. That's why these people should consult with their doctors on when and how to schedule their vaccinations. As someone with an autoimmune disease, my rheumatologist picked the

It’s actually quite sad because there are people in my community who wouldn’t get it because of extremely rare adverse reactions like the CVT with thrombocytopenia associated with JNJ and AZ vaccines. But it’s important to explain the risk-to-benefit ratio which is used by doctors when deciding which drugs and procedures to give their patients. Even lay people can do the explaining. Sure, there is an extremely small risk that few individuals could develop blood clots with adenovirus based vaccines, or myocarditis with mRNA bas

  6. If you just want to listen to music, you’re not an audiophile purist, and you don’t want to spend more money on AirPods, get this instead from Anker. The only downsides I can think off while using are the lack of quick pairing like the AirPods, and doesn’t have volume controls so you gotta bring out your phone.

  8. Just got the JNJ single shot Covid-19 vaccine two days ago, after weeks of struggling to register. Getting vaccinated is not something new to me even as an adult because I get annual flu shots, I got the pneumococcal (PCV13) shot last year (painful in the arm for two days because it’s viscous), and the three doses of Gardasil 9 four years ago, all without the flu-like symptoms. The JNJ vaccine was different, I got the shot at 9 am, went on with my daily routine including indoor cycling for 30 minutes at 10:30 am, and my 8 pm I got fever and a headache which lasted until the next day. It was th

Also, I tried being vegan for 30 days and I gotta say, it’s not as bad as bad as many dude-bro animal keto bodybuilders and meat gluttons say. I never felt better. Would I continue becoming vegan, it depends.

Theres nothing wrong with being vegan at all, just make sure you are getting adequate iron and vitamins etc, which you can on a good diet. For bodybuilding or athletes, it becomes a little more complicated, but certainly achievable, due to much higher protein intake.

I did try vegan diet for 30 days for health reasons as my serum triglycerides and LDL levels are getting higher. A healthy vegan diet or any diet is variety and mixing food stuffs. I for one get my B12 from cheap B12 supplements, there are now vegan protein powders which I’m gonna try soon. Many people realize that most people event bodybuilders don’t need way too much protein in their body. We know from biochemistry that unused proteins will eventually enter the TCA cycle and become fat in excess. So I don’t understand as to why some bodybuilders think that you can’t get ripped if you go vegan.

The only bad diet is highly processed or fast food, or one where you simply aren't getting the nutrients you need (which is a big banner in itself). Or raw meat diet - thats just not good.

vegan diet can get unhealthy if someone is just eating chips and Oreos.

agree, I think this goes for raw eggs / egg white for me too. Chicken sushimi is probably the worst thing ive seen.

They probably aren't very experienced bodybuilders. You need (well at least they say) 1.1 - 3g of protein per pound of lean body mass. I think most do around 2, I usually have around 1-1.5, because i'm not that serious and food is expensive here. I think many are leaning to the lower end too. The trouble with vegan protein is its often not as clean, i.e. chickpeas and quinoa are good for protein, but come with carbs, whereas chicken is pretty much pure protein. There are definitely many clean vegan proteins out there, and I use vegan protein powder myself because its way easier to digest - I've found Balance protein pretty good.

Getting ripped is just being lean. You certainly get less energy from protein sources, so if your macros are highly protein, and still in a deficit, thats what would be beneficial - emphasis on deficit of course. But certainly being a vegan bodybuilder is harder, but theres no real issue with diet.

Why don’t he just bring his own food then if the cafeteria at school doesn’t have anything vegan? Also, avoiding something isn’t phobia especially for dietary reasons. If a man suffering from gout avoids animal organs, would that make them have phobia in those? And to say that you can’t get all essential nutrients from a vegan diet is quite a hasty generalization. It simply means your sister’s friend is not informed how to do it properly.

It was a boarding school.  Nowhere to bring food from.

  11. I'm pretty sure that is not true considering that the world is not yet out of the woods due to Covid-19 and many people are still working or having classes at home so a webcam on a laptop is a must.
