  1. I want both casual (e.g. rocket league) and serious (such as CSGO) games to play with friends. Any recommendations? Thank you
  2. I have alias AFKon "+forward; +moveleft; +left; cl_disablehtmlmotd 1; echo Idle Script by Rampix - [Enabled]" alias AFKoff "-forward; -moveleft; -left; cl_disablehtmlmotd 0; echo Idle Script by Rampix - [Disabled]" on an autoexec.cfg file in my steamapps>counterstrike global offensive>csgo>cfg also in steam launch options, i have -exec autoexec if that doesnt work try +exec autoexec in game, i go to console and can turn it on by typing 'afkon' and i can turn it off with 'afkoff'
  3. Hi. I'm thinking of getting H1Z1 from Steam sale atm. If ping is relevant, anyone in OCE wanna play with me? I'll be new. Thanks
  4. On 1080, I'd say GTX 970. The extra 8gb vram helps with higher resolutions. IMO, get whatever is cheaper for you
  5. Get a GTX 970/R9 390 whichever is cheaper. Get a cheaper cpu such as 6600 or 6400. Don't bother on getting a -k cpu and cpu cooler as that is a waste of fps per dollar. You could also get... a non-skylake i5 such as a 4460 or 4690 (no -k) which saves you some money, and then you can spend less for a 1600MHz 8gb RAM and a cheaper motherboard that supports a different socket. IMO you are spending too little on the GPU with your budget that you have. I aim for at least 30% of my budget on a GPU.
  6. Thanks good to know about these websites
  7. Please follow your topic. Also don't go with the impression that CPU must equal GPU's cost. The gpu should be ~40% of your budget if it is used for gaming
  8. yes, until june next year if i remember correctly but you have a lot of time im sure. if its cheaper get win 7/8 then upgrade
  9. SSD uses flash memory so its less likely to just crash compared to a mechanical harddrive. right now, its not suitable to get a 1 TB SSD as prices are decreasing fast and most gamers who can afford an ssd go for a 250gb ssd and a 1TB HDD for example, to store their OS and important apps on their SSD, and games and movies on their HDD.
  10. I'm checking out Newegg prices for the sapphire r9 390 right now. As well as an MSI 970 on newegg
  11. No MSI option available in NZ. Please look at http://www.pcforce.co.nz/video-cards-nvidia-c-21_27.html?zenid=bif3d4o0dgibiktahisfpqn0b4 for price comparison in New Zealand. Also pbtech, but I'd have to wait for Friday Nov 13th for that sale
  12. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wvjDLk Honestly, if it colour scheme doesnt matter so much i would change 970 brand/model, or get a 390. black and white still looks cool imo. And for pure value i wouldn't get a k series cpu and cooler. EDIT: then u can spend less on mobo, cpu, cooler for better gpu such as 980 and more ram.
  13. go with i5 4460 and a h97 board such as asrock fatal1ty or anniversary
  14. I mean in the future i want to buy parts from the midrange prices, not sli
