    I don't want one of the fancy aftermarket cards. Curious what I should be looking for in terms of the ones that retail for closer to $600 instead of $800 retail.

    So thats your wan speed, lan speed is probalby gigabit currently. Your isp doesn't limit your lan speeds.

    There is a pretty small performance difference, its probably not worth the extra, and it uses more power.

    THe i5 10400 is faster, about about 170 new, so id just get the 10400 here. Your not saving much going with a 8600 and boards are a simmilar price aswell

    You probably won't get your hands on a 30 card for a few weeks at least, especially not at retail.

    All the online cards should land at 9am eastern or 6am pacific Tuesday which is tomorrow currently.

    Best buy has AIB cards like the gaming oc 3060 ti for $470. I would just get the founders edition for $399 IMO.

    They have 4 models showing now for the 3060, you can put all them on your wishlist and save your credit card information, obviously you want to be logged in but with this stuff setup all you have to do is open the app go to my account and click saved items then you can easily see what has the yellow add to cart option first.

    You can click add to cart on everything when they launch at 9am and there's a 2-3 minute anti bot timer then whatever pops up again add to cart is what I would buy first, as it's hard to be picky here.

    Figured it out! This is so stupid, but the solution was uninstalling "Google Play Music" from the chrome extensions tab in ADDITION to disabling "Hardware Media Key Handling" in chrome://flags

    TheNuzziNuzz got a reaction from Juular in Difference between these two SSDs? What SSD to buy?
    Thank you so much @Juular @GamerBlake @Jurrunio @Enderman @Daniel Z. for all this conversation. It was not what I was expecting at all. I'm glad I am able to start to understand all this more, but I think it has left me with more questions than answers.

    $15-25 doesn't make a huge difference for me. I've always gone with Samsung SSDs and the real question was if my friend who said SP uses the same chips is true because I wouldn't want to pay $15-25 extra for no performance benefit.

    So everyone knows, I plan to upgrade to 32gb of Ram, and those small differences probably won't be that huge for me. The main thing I do is produce music, and just being on any SSD instead of a drive gets me 90% of the improvement i need.

    I've always stuck with saumsung SSDs. The one time I got I think it was a Crucial MX500 or 350 m.2 (Just used for a few games and windows) I actually had it die on me after about 3 years of use, yet my 128gb 850 evo strach SSD from 6 years ago still works like new. I didn't want that to happen to me anytime soon.

    Would love a definitive answer, but I may be asking for too much. Super appreciate all the conversation guys, and thank you for answering my initial question about the same chips thing, it definitely sounded like fake news to me but I wanted to make sure.

    Also I do have an open m.2 slot, what probably makes the most sense for me is to get the same or better than my current boot 860 evo, clone windows to it, and continue to store my files across my other drives.

    Thanks again for everything!

    if you store your variables in an object you can use a proxy to intercept the change before it happens.

    const _config = { somevar: 1 } const config = new Proxy( _config, { set: function(obj, prop, value) { console.log(prop, 'was updated') } }); config.somevar = 2; // prints "somevar was updated"

    The solution is using PWAs (Progressive Web Apps)

    It doesn't work exactly as you describe but i'm sure you can figure something out. Support for this kind of thing on phones is still new.

    I would advise using express. You can serve static html files from a directory with the following code:

    const express = require('express') const app = express() const port = 3000 app.listen(port, () => console.log(`Example app listening on port ${port}!`)) app.use('/static', express.static('public'))

    Actually in some areas is more like $11 a month to $15 a month for a rental. Thats $132 to $180 a year in rental fees. I bought my own modem and router. The modem cost me like $80 when I bought it 5 years ago, so its well and paid off. The I recently bought cost $200. Any way you look at it, Im still ahead. I rather give a retailer the money than those fucking bastards at Comcast (Xfinity). Also, them having decent gateways is a new development. Their equipment historically has been shit.

    Also another reason not to rent equipment from Comcast. They have a back door in to it. As in they can see all devices on your side of the network. No way in fuck Im giving them that level of access. With just a modem, the only access they is to check the stats, update the firmware and push configuration files.
     Whos your provider?

    I actually disagree. Certain ISPs in certain situations can give you a great deal. I did a little research and it turns out if you are on the Gigabit plan with comcast, they give you a gateway that normally costs $400 for $10/mo including replacement and support if it ever breaks which is a steal.

    if you are in the USA:
    not true. ISPs ALWAYS skimp on anything they can.
    then that charge you $10/month for a garbage $20 router/modem combo

    This one is interesting because directly behind me is the beach. The sunset's beautiful colors could only be seen facing away from the beach so I took this picture from my car. Nothing that amazing but looking back it seems to have some profound character. Maybe because you would never think to get a picture of this when there is a beautiful beach right behind you.

    Well 1050 ti is a super cut down 1060 chip, and the increase in cuda / ram just doesn't justify the jump in price from the regular 1050. Sure it could be better in vram dependent games like doom 4, but come on, you can just turn down two or three settings in those games and they will still look as good, and run way better, and I'm quoting this post because it's super relevant to this thread, as well as today, and you will still have a card that will outperform the 1050 ti in the rest of the games, 1050 ti is just a terrible value compared to 1060 3GB or regular 1050

    Power supply will be more than good enough for your budget. Have you considered used GPUs? I know the market isnt that great considering all the GPUs that were probably used for mining, but you can get alot more for your $ in terms of performance compared to buying new.

    Easiest way is to just format the whole drive.

    Otherwise you need to allow admin privileged or change the permissions of the files and folders which can get relatively complicated.
