I plan on upgrading the CPU to a Ryzen 7 3800x (50% off msrp) and an Meg x570 ace motherboard. What are your thoughts on this? There will be absolutely no gaming into he rig. PART LIST: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 3.9 GHz 8-Core Processor $339.99 @ Walmart CPU Cooler
  4. Yeah only reason I have it is because it was my old one and it supports SLI (but I can't seem to get it working) -- Edit -- It actually doesn't support sli

  6. Budget (including currency): $$$ Country: Unuted States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Editing 4k Video (large files) We currently have a Ryzen 5 2600, 2 1080 TI (EVGA), 1200W Corsair PSU, 32 Corsair vengeance pro (3000mhz) memory, Asus strix b450-f motherboard, and shitty Corsair 120mm aio. 7. I currently have 1 EVGA 1080 TI with a ryzen 7 3700x I wanted to know if it would be worth it to get a second 1080 TI (cheap from a friend) to add to this render PC. This PC is for using adobe media encoder to transcode 4k footage to cineform.
  8. Whoops my bad. It's a gaming, streaming, and editing workstation at 1080p@144Hz
  9. I have 2x8gb Corsair vengeance 3000mhz and for storage I have. 1tb Nvme ssd (crucial p1) 225gb ADATA SSD 3tb Seagate barracuda HDD
  10. Hey, I am thinking about upgrading my computer very soon and I was wondering if anyone had some advice on what I should go for. I don't really care about budget but I don't want to buy a new Mobo and psu. Current Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 Mobo: Asus Strix B450-f GPU: Asus RX 5700xt PSU: Rosewill CAPSTONE 750W (80 PLUS GOLD) I want to upgrade the cpu ATM and I plan on getting a 3080 soon as well. Thanks in advance. This rig will be used for editing, streaming and gaming.
  11. Well I just don't have access to the xFi stuff so I've decided using a dmz would be an easy work around.
  12. So I am currently looking for a router to put behind a dmz for my Ubuntu box (that I use to host servers). I'm looking for something affordable, so like $60 if possible. I only have access to setup a dmz because Xfinity sucks, but I think it is still sufficient. Any help is appreciated, I'm very new to networking
  13. Yeah like a 6core FX would be good enough for me probably. Buy yeah, I'm probably only going to be running 1 - 3 servers at a time on it.
  14. On a realistic level, my budget is more like $200. I also guess I need to read up on Xeons b/c I have no idea how the preformance is scalled. (Looking to run Minecraft Servers, possibly with custom generation and web map, if you know how that runs on server and effects preformance)
  15. Hello, recently I have been looking into hosting my own server because some unfortunate events have happened causing me to have to just host myself. I came here to ask for help finding the right parts. I have very little server building experience but I want to do this. The machine will be running Debian or Ubuntu server. The system needs preferably 32gb of ram (ddr3 or ecc) and needs a half decent cpu. Most of the things I’ll be doing will be hosting Minecraft servers. I have a gig networking card already and 500gb wd black hdd. I currently have a 2x4 gig kit of ddr3 so I should be able to us
