TheRandomness reacted to Spotty in 'Your c**k is mine now' - Hacker hacks 'smart' chastity cage and demands $750 of BTC as ransom
Isn't being trapped in this device and not having control over it exactly what the people using it want? The hackers are going to be so confused when they receive their $750 along with a note saying "thanks babe, same time next week?"

No idea how these are designed, but I'd be willing to bet it's a solenoid lock that could be unlocked with a magnet pretty easily.

TheRandomness reacted to The Flying Sloth in How to know what voltage a sound card is able to supply to the microphone?
My first 'real' microphone was a BM800 and I had a very similar result/reaction to you. You won't find me arguing that it doesn't sound better than many USB or headset mics but it just doesn't live up to the status it claims as a studio mic, it has a very high noise floor and relatively low clarity compared to many other condenser mics and that really just comes down to it not being very well designed or manufactured.

I no longer recommend them as since then I've had the opportunity to purchase and extensively use a modest list of actual studio grade microphones (some not too much more expensive than the 800) that sound and feel leagues ahead of it.

If it's been kept at a low temperature, cleaned regularly, and is being sold at a discount (compared to cards that weren't mined on) I'd just say go for it.

Over time thermal paste decays into Fluoroantimonic Acid which is 10 quadrillion times stronger than Sulphuric Acid, I'd immediately see a doctor about this. JKJKJKJK Everyone saying it's bad is joking And that 10 quadrillion thing is actually true.

TheRandomness reacted to Master Delta Chief in Nintendo issues CnD to tournament organizers for using "project slippi" an emulation mod allowing a 20 yr old game to be played online
It shouldn't matter if it's their 'IP' or not nor should this be seen as 'illegal'. If it's something from like so long ago and isn't that widely available anymore, they shouldn't care about it, just let them play.

I've done this on a PE 2900 and a T310, the excess power is simply taken from the power supply, I've gamed under it without issue.

TheRandomness reacted to ONOTech in AMD RX 6800XT AIB synthetic benchmarks: Pure rasterized faster than RTX 3080, RT on par with RTX 2080 Ti
Those Timespy Extreme results for the 3080 seem low. Most of FE versions score 8800+ easily from what I've seen.

TLDR leak seems sus, might be the impostor. Wait for benchmarks
