And that's what you should do. A completely pointless 'refresh' with no real performance differences at prices that are too high. Wait for the next iteration of Zen.

what? the 1080ti is a 2080/ super competitor.

what are they both priced at? and can you wait for ampere and big navi?

Morgan MLGman got a reaction from Sun Chariot in How much power should I provide for an overclocked r5-3600/rx-5700-XT system?
Efficiency ratings don't necessarily mean that the unit is a good one. With the other question, I'll refer you to the PSU tier list since availability at your location may vary:

Anything from the B+ rating and above will be good.

Morgan MLGman got a reaction from Oswin in what is a good processor to pair with 5700xt
That's a hard question to answer - short answer is: longer than the 3300X because it has two physical cores more.
The pace depends on your future graphics card upgrades and the demands of new games. A 3600 is a safer bet, but you wouldn't lose much (if any) performance with a 5700XT right now if you bought the 3300X instead.

Then the 3600 would be ideal. A 3300X would also be perfectly sufficient with a 5700XT, but it would need to be upgraded sooner in the future.

Morgan MLGman got a reaction from Sorenson in Should I buy an intel cpu or buy a am4 motherboard and amd cpu
If you already have a satisfactory motherboard, there's no point in switching it - get an i9-9900 and it should get the job done
    It's a lot faster than the 9400F

    If they're the same price
Go for the 3500, SMT can't and won't beat two extra physical cores.

Morgan MLGman got a reaction from Jumballi in Used Vega 56 vs GTX 1070
The Vega 56 is better, but the price difference is too high to justify the performance gap. In that case I'd lean towards the 1070.

Thank you, the price difference is only 5$ and the 550W unit doesn't seem to be in stock at the moment so I might just go with the 650

Morgan MLGman got a reaction from svmlegacy in Question about power supplys
The TXM series from Corsair are very good power supplies, adequate to your potential configuration. The wattage itself won't be an issue with the 550W unit, however if the price difference is very small I'd get the larger one.
