  1. Just a thought here, but if evga feels one 120mm rad plus a vrm/board fan is enough for their hybrid cooling design(which is apparently very good) then one double 120 rad for two titan x's (assuming that it is also not cooling the cpu) isnt enough? shouldn't a double 120 rad give the same total cooling area as 2 individual evga hybrid rads?
  2. The 980ti is definitely the way to go if it's in your budget, it has the 6gb of vram for long term security, the lack of sli support problems, and the ability to add another in sli when needed. Performance wise it is neck to neck to two 970's for frame rates. I would definitely recommend the 980ti over two 970's(that's coming from the owner of two 970's)
  3. Just an observation... but i've at times seen quite a bit of i7 bashing and several members implying that hyperthreading is a useless marketing gimmic. Everyone here seems to be very supportive and upbeat about an i3's hyperthreading being a great performance boon over a G3258 anniversary. So... am i missing something where pentium vs i3 is amazing because of hyperthreading and i5 vs i7 is unwothwhile because of hyperthreading? Or are so many of this opinion simply because of consumer grade programs not being able to properly utilize more than 4 "real" cores?
  4. Purchased this monitor recently, It is the first IPS panel I own and I really like it, the improvement over my old TN panels was very nice, also witcher 3 looks great on it and the super thin bezel looks stellar.
  5. Thanks for the tip! Will turning off the adaptive core voltage mode force the CPU to operate at that voltage at all times? If no then that is appealing to me, if yes then I think I would prefer a higher voltage (up to 1.3v) under heavy load then have adaptive scale it back when full voltage is not needed to help with silicon longevity.
  6. The included y cable should be for the dual fans that came with the cooler, plugging both fans into the y cable and then plugging the cable into the header on the pump block will allow you to control both fans through the corsair link software.
  7. Hi all, I've been an avid LTT forum surfer and channel watcher for about 10 months now, and I've been enjoying the forums and the channel greatly. I wanted to share about my recent cooler... modification? On my 4790k and h100i gtx for any that may benefit from what I've experienced. Approximately 3 months ago I upgraded from an i5-2500k with hyper 212(non evo) on a gigabyte z68xp-ud3 mobo to an i7-4790k with a corsair h100i GTX and an Asus z97-a mobo. I was excited to see the differences in temperature and overcooking ability, the 2500k performed well and with a simple Intel xtu tune
  8. You hit the nail on the head, just got an email from Amazon today informing me of the order having been cancelled due to and incorrect price. My local grocer has better accountability in that area, here in PA at Giant food stores if a price is labeled incorrectly the customer gets the product at no cost... so if the price at the register doesn't match the shelf, you pay nothing for it. I would never expect to pay nothing... the lower of the 2 prices would be all I would expect, so that is way above and beyond my expectations. Oh well, it was worth the handful of button presses for the hope of
  9. I placed an order through amazon last night, I'll keep everyone updated as soon as I get a shipping notice(or if something goes terribly wrong) and then again if the product arrives. It is currently estimated for delivery between 6/2 and 6/5.
  10. Appears to be an excellent deal on the Amazon marketplace(thus guaranteed by Amazon) if you're not interested in the current witcher 3/batman game code promotion. Supposedly new so... I've not seen any prices approach this.: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00NH5T1MS/ref=sr_1_1_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1432339956&sr=8-1&keywords=gtx970+g1&condition=new
