Jumping from bed with EA right into the arms of nVidia...  Staring to think that Disney has got some sort of Hybristophilia.  Does seem like they're only interested in making choices for the quarterly financials and not soo much to create anything new in house or endearing longer term.  We might have been seeing the start of the companys turn to...well not ruin, but less good.

Though I'm not as stuck on EU as others, I do appreciate depth and like it to be there when I'm inclined to deep-dive into a universe, and I've other beefs with the 'new' films.  They're just not that good.  Continuity errors, nonsensical reasoning's and shallow stories that club you over the head with little finesse and no nuance.  Meh, maybe the next movie will help get more to the others, but I doubt it.

OT:  Why would they need that much GPU power on hand to run the ride?  Wouldn't it just be better the pre-render it all and play movies files over the projectors?  I must be misunderstanding something.

What I want to know is how hard is it to add support for existing AMD GPUs. Will I ever be able to hook up my R9 380 to my MacBook Pro for example? Or am I limited to those supported cards as long as Apple or AMD do not publish a driver for it.

A base model MacBook Pro without a TouchBar is actually 0.09” thinner than a MacBook Air.

And the Pro is only 0.06lbs heavier.....

But it's just not logical and definitely not based in fact. You are more likely to be struck by lightning than even see a terrorist in your lifetime (unless you're deployed in Iraq,) but since you've experienced it somewhat personally, your mindset has probably been completely warped.

Truth is privacy is a very important right. The right to have a private life not being watched by the government is one of the fundamental bases of the US and maybe even the modern world.

Encryption is fundamentally important not just to protect yourself from criminals, but also to protect yourself from the government. And yes, you need to protect yourself from both.
Then you really are extremely uninformed or trolling. Governments lie on a regular basis, daily even. Politicians lie to get into power, parties lie to protect themselves, whole government agencies lie to hide the fact that they're committing war crimes and violating your rights. You really should be more skeptical of your governing body, for your own good.

On the board level, I tend to see a lot more in the way of capacitors and other such components on Apple's devices than many Android devices. Beyond just the cost of the chip, I suspect a robust power delivery is required to feed the big CPU cores, which is probably going to be more expensive than what many OEMs would be willing to pay for.

Speaking as a student who uses iPads for school, I find them a lot more convenient to use compared to a laptop. They’re much easier to carry around, they are surprisingly durable (moreso with a case) and the multitasking is a great distraction provider in a lesson.

Yeah a $99 pen on top of a $329 tablet is such a deal, which you also have to charge, only lasts 12hours,cant store the pencil on the device, and isn't anywhere near as good as a Surface or Wacom pen.
This tablet is terrible for getting any real work done, no keyboard, worse than a Chromebook for education as glass is a lot more fragile.

I agree. The only thing that is fallen, is the school using iPads.
This is because previously they were expensive, and lack apps. And the program to try and get educational apps on it with book publishers was a disaster. When Google entered the seen,  school switch to it, and then Microsoft entered the scene fighting against Chromebooks to try and regain most of it lost before. Apple is being aggressive now. And I think they go even further if needed, by including the pen with the device, but they are keeping that playing card for now.

As a school system that needs basics.

Beyond that, there are better options.
Not at that screen size. It's too small for any semi serious artist. The quality of the Apple Pencil is also not up to par to either the Wacom or NTrig solutions. No eraser, short battery life, ass backwards charging solution, and in the real world, tracking and parallax isn't better.

Only a few diehard Apple would use this for art.
Apple is the only on in the ARM tabley market, and even then, their sales are declining.
Fanboys and schools, regarding the pencil support. Otherwise, it's just another general use tablet that fewer and fewer people are wanting.

Assuming you're going without discrete graphics, definitely the 2200G

Even if it were with discrete graphics I'd still go with the the 2200G just for upgradability and future value.
the 2600K is already 5 years old. Besides if you already have discrete graphics in your plan I'm pretty sure you can get a similarly-priced GPU-less Ryzen counterpart.
