  1. Man, its really unfortunate how bad PIA is. I subscribed for a year and the refund window passed before I could claim it. PIA is slow, sometimes disconnects, and their servers sometimes get flagged and websites block you.

I personally am gonna get Proton VPN, they're better known for ProtonMail. Part of the reason is that they're actually based out of Geneva Switzerland and I'd rather support a small but really popular Swiss Company than a multi Billion Dollar one from the US (talking tech companies in general and not necessarily VPNs). https://protonvpn.com/ I took Proton and NordVPN into consideration and I think Proton is the better option for me since they also claim to be able to serve me which ever Netflix Version I want like Netflix US.

How much is PIA per month?

Rent a VPS and run your own for $1-2 with good performance (sub 10 ms ping which is faster then google).

      Good look finding a hoster.

1blu: extremely bad communication so I moved on but otherwise okay ish (not great, okay ish)

the "just a few days": needs day to (maybe) provide it at some point so I cancelled

the "next" one: ask me in 6 month's ...

Those aren't unknown brands. The one who didn't provided it (confirmation but nothing more) had a good reputation and the current is large so I hopefully a usable one.

Do I have to high expectations that you have a somewhat snappy communication, announce planned maintenance, notify when there was/is a problem especially if you shut the server down and don't start it again?

Good web/control interface is at this point just a positive surprise to me ...

Seems like most companies are cracking down on VPN use.  Pisses me off that I can't use Hulu, Netflix, or even Doordash without either finding a server that works or turning it off just to use them.  Other than that, Nords been pretty good about staying connected and having p2p support.
