Meat is meat, it is healthy to eat just like veggies, all within proper moderation. The day I don't eat real meat is the day I die.
This trend to make and sell meat like things is dumb, lie to yourself but please for the love of God, dont lie to me.
All trends end, like any previous trend.

This product already exists, and Linus has given his opinion on it. He did a video on it a few years ago from the house studio.
Great for breaking records... not so great for everyday computing.

I would suggest if you're going to try and pique his interest, do something with more thought/research and make sure its original. 🤔

I apologize for the long reply. I was out of the house with family and though I know I said I would not contribut more I guess I should at least be fair and address what was asked of me.

Your reading way too far into what I said. Thank you @tikker for making the point simpler than I would have.

I do hunt but only for game and I do eat what I take, that said I hunt on occasion and 95% of what I eat, meat wise, is from the local butcher. Everything I eat that is wild is tested first of course and cooked appropriately.

There are 2 common theories that surround how humans contracted HIV. SIV (Simian Immunodeficiency Virus) has two variants, one found in Chimpanzees and the other found in Sooty Mangabeys, HIV though is closely related to the variant found in chimpanzees. The first transmission of SIV to HIV in humans (that has been traced back to) took place around 1920 in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo. SIV
The two common theories are, 1) the virus was contracted through a bite or blood mix from a chimpanzee from an injury while hunting chimpanzees for food [the more comon accepted theory] or 2) there was an organ or blood transplant done experimentally where a chimpanzee organ or blood was given to a man. The second theory is much less excepted, but it is plausible. I included the second as it is not mentioned in the source I provided. This was taught to us in school back when I was living through the "HIV scare" or the late 1980's when I was in grade school.
Source ~ https://www.avert.org/professionals/history-hiv-aids/origin#:~:text=Their studies concluded that the first transmission of,of different times SIV was passed to humans.

Some people do, and its uneccesary.

This is not something I will address here; it walks to close to political opinion and opinion. Carbon footprint and its effects on the environment is still very much in the scientific theory stage, not yet ready to enter the fact and proof stage. I won't conjecture or debate on this.

This to a certain point I am willing to accept and may even try someday. I do read a great many sci-fi stuff that mention the production and use of it, but before anyone points out... Sans its sci-fi dummy... well yes but how many times has sci-fi both encouraged, proved, and predicted the advancement of technology? hmm? Not to mention it helps to define a solution for space travel, its a problem that needs addressed. Transporting animals is a very taxing thing, transporting food not vacuum sealed, is very limiting.

This is a very limited, and very nonexistent issue in most cases. Farm animals don't roam planted fields after the planting or before harvest. Contamination is seldom and usually only occurs when machinery that is used from animal locations to planted field locations that is not washed prior to moving back and forth, by the way is a huge OSHA thing, contribute to that cross contamination. Its not the animals its the handlers that make those mistakes.

It seems I have a vehemence but I dont. My opinion is this. If you want to make a veggie burger dont call it what it is not. There is a brand called "Beyond Meat", I am sorry but call it what it is. My issue, trying to fake it to get people eat something that is suppose to immitate something is wrong. I will eat my vegetables as I always do. But like I said lie to yourself but dont lie to me. Its a trick to give a burger, I eat it and then tell me it is vegetable, that deceiving pure and simple. If i want more veggies then I'll eat more veggies but I am not going to just stop eating meat because a goup of people say I need to eat less meat or no meat.
Studies go back and forth on the value and nutrition of both sides of the debate [meat vs vegetables] but neither has a stronger standing over the other. That is my position.

Lastly trying to get on topic, I do eat a lot of mushrooms already but I really cant see a productive reason to use this as a replacement for meat, similar to the statement i made about veggie burgers and such. Each food group has its purpose and nutrient value. I get people wan to create more ways to provide that nutrition I for one do not wan to discourage it, but I guess in my original comment I may have been harsh. BUT meat is meat, veggie is veggie, please let mushrooms be mushrooms.
    With all that said;
If this ends up be the catalyst to developing a [successful] vat grown meat, then I can say I will accept and support its development as it would be essential to solving several problems for future development.

I have never once seen Linus go against his belief to give unbiased reviews. He has always made known [several times in fact] held himself to give zero care to the manufacturers wishes. He has even gone so far as to reveal that LTT's contracts state that even in paid, or compensated reviews Linus would not do scripted work from the manufacturer but his own opinion on the product.

    *edit to add
Also, if you watch his reactions in many videos its usually frank. Granted some of the reviews he spends time with to get the best feel for like phone and watch reviews. But his other reviews that information is provided to him by the LTT team is obvious he is reading some things and giving honest reactions to how he feels about the product in general. His body language is easy to read.

SansVarnic reacted to Spotty in Not to be a hater but don't you think using your employees to renovate your house is pretty gross?
The construction and renovations are being done by professional contractors.
LTT is planning on doing videos on the house and tech upgrades he is making. They'll make videos on things like installing smart switches and smart HVAC control, running ethernet to the rooms, setting up his home server, setting up his new office computer, setting up his home theatre, etc... If you see LTT staff there they are there in their capacity as LMG employees producing content for the LTT channel.

All AMI post codes will be the same with exceptions of revisions through the years where some where added.

Many post codes are not listed in most manuals. Only because these codes are essentially a reference to the self check process and usually when the pc hangs its just on some random number.

When you want only and strictly error codes, you plug in the diagnostics speaker to find what the error actually is.

I could keep on going, but I'm sure you're aware I had made a thread to help address these situations, but was merged into another post in the stickies and most often times it's just over looked. You can find it in my signature for future reference.

SansVarnic reacted to Skiiwee29 in Texas making it illegal for Social media platforms to ban users based on political opinion
Only problem I see with this statement is that most people do not see or use the First Amendment properly. Its not a protection of private companies not being able to ban who they want when they want for any reason they want... Twitter, Facebook, you name it, they are well within there rights to ban whoever they want, how they want, when they want and there isn't a damn thing anyone can do about it.

The First Amendment is designed to protect YOU from any sort of harassment, backlash or other forms of punishment from the Government for speaking out against them.

This is a thing that a ton of people don't get or don't understand correctly.
