So I bought a used motherboard for £140, dropped it (and broke it) the first day I had it and just got around to selling it and got £1.20 for it. Should have just kept the broken board and hung it on the wall or something.

Well, just fell victim to the problems with MBR boot disks when the boot volume corrupts. Time to wipe and switch it to GPT I guess.

Need a new bed side clock as the old smart watch I've been using for that has finally given up. Really considering £90 on a Nixie style clock. If anyone has seen Steins;Gate, you'll know why I want it.

So I've been troubleshooting issues with my server's write speeds to basically everything being horrible (60MB/s to SSDs, causing everything to load into RAM, then freeze the system as it's offloaded). Just moved one of the drives from my server to a PC to test the speeds, and get the 250MB/s expected (it's a cheapo SSD). Moved it back, and now all drives connected to the 6Gbps ports on the motherboard aren't detected, only the ones on the 3Gbps and the ones in my PCIe SATA controller are picked up....

Think the board's on its way out. Luckily I've been planning an upgrade to a Xeon platform for a while. Got a good deal on an X99-A, so 12 core Xeon should be coming soon and hopefully it all works.

Also have an X79 board and a Xeon 2680 V2 to get rid of now. DDR3 is just too expensive now days, it's actually cheaper to go X99 and DDR4.

Took me 6 damn hours, but FINALLY got HTTPS working with qbittorrent's WebUI, UniFi Controller and UniFi Video. qbittorrent is the easiest by far. Ubiquiti really don't make it simple to get it working with Unifi.

This is about my 5th time trying as well after giving up before. A lot of openssl and unfamiliar Linux commands needed porting over to Windows. BUT IT'S FINALLY WORKING!!!
