My classes are now all online. After attending weeks of them, I have created, discovered and researched special tips and tricks that allows me to make the most out of online classes. However I did not want to keep it to myself hence the existence of this guide.
My5 main tips and tricks are:
1. Record Screens with OBS – Laptop with Nvidia GPU and External Monitor
2. MP4 Video to Word
3. PowerPoint to Word
4. Image to Text
5. Ergonomic setup

As far as I know you can see unlisted videos if you know the URL but not private videos.
Also some people do it to get songs' names from copyright warnings.
Also google meet has subtitles ( though probably not as good as teams as they are same/similar to youtube's)

bindydad123 got a reaction from jomell310 in Online robotics competition Discord setup help :)
I recently helped conduct an online virtual competition which involved members of teams presenting.
Zoom was used and basically there was one "admin computer" which I controlled.
I joined the zoom meeting and then turned off cameras if needed. Though most of the times, the participant was corporative and on/off their cameras at appropriate times.
Then using OBS to capture desktop audio in addition to screen recording and outputted the feed into Restream. Restream handles the live streaming to multiple platforms, something that OBS does not natively support.

bindydad123 got a reaction from kelvinhall05 in DELL 3020 planing and upgrading. Thoughts?
xx20 Dell Optiplex's do not use the standard 24 pin motherboard power connector and rather a 6 pin connector. You will need to source an adapter if you wish to use a non-Dell power supply.

DVI-I can be converted passively to HDMI.
Displayport can be converted to DVI-I or HDMI. With Displayport, search for an active adapter. I do not have good experience with affordable, passive adapters.
HDMI can be converted passively to DVI-I.

I have been playing around with Macrium Reflect as off late and continue to be surprised at it's versatility.
While I have not tried to image a RAID array, it should be able too.
So your idea should work great.
You can try to image the RAID array and restore that image onto the new SSD. See how things are. If you are satisfied, then can proceed with formatting the RAID array. If you are not satisfied, no harm done by using Macrium Reflect.

bindydad123 got a reaction from jonnyGURU in What's this weird 6 pin connector called?
is there a current cable from the power supply that goes into the weird 6 pin port?
In the case with dell's, they have a 5 pin connector to pass through power through the motherboard to sata devices.
in your case it's either a 6 pin port to supply additional power or to pass through power.

Have a look at their driver section: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-Z490-E-GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/
There's also VGA, Audio, Wireless, SATA and Bluetooth, so it's probably one of those.

You can't saw off your number pad off a membrane keyboard and expect it to continue functioning as it's a closed circuit. Sawing off a portion of the keyboard will create an open circuit.

It's only possible on monitors that support that type of operation, which is just a handful of high-resolution monitors, such as the XV273K which is a 4K 144 Hz monitors, which requires 2 DP cables to run at the full format. It's not something you can do on just any monitor.
